My father had a 318 E Body back in the '80's, same starter but muted with standard exhaust, and my son had an RC-F. Still hard to beat that Mopar geared starter whine, and nice V8 sound, even all these years later.

I could honestly fall asleep to that idle. It may sound crazy, but it has a rhythm that makes it easy for me to fall asleep to.

guy in my high school bought a new 1968 GTX 440. When the motor was warm, and he went to start it again, you could hear the starter motor push it up to the first piston compression, and it sounded the like the starter motor stalled, but then you heard this earth-shaking rumble. GTX with a 440 and a TorqueFlite. Astounding.
