TRES BIEN

TRES BIEN
Hermosa melodia para SOÑAR...
Wonderful song that showcases the tight Miller ensemble that could swing really well.
TRES BIEN !!!
I grew up with this album. Thank you!
Thank you very much for uploading this delightful tune by Glenn Miller
This is theme from the film of the same name, starring John Wayne.
This is the first time I have heard this song and I like it.
Fully enjoyed this and thank you for posting - showing the versatility of the pieces played by the orchestra.
Good! but unfortunately played without Benny Goodman, according to the BG's Bio-Discography.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful old song by GM
The Miller band at the top of its game!!!
Thank you for the download. Tommy's iconic trombone solo, followed by Jimmy on the clarinet make this a special version of this classic song. Their arrangements were always classy and set an elegant tone. This is a nice recording, with good presence and fidelity.
Jimmy plays alto sax here, not clarinet.
Vocalist- Ralph Young who in the 60’s teamed with Tony Sandler to form the successful singing duo Sandler and Young
Excellent.
Lionel Hampton was a giant of jazz and made some amazing music, even into his late 80s. Was privileged to see him live and he sure gave quite a show as the "Hardest working man" in show business on the vibes and drums.
Secondo me negli anni 40
Jimmy Dorsey was often overshadowed by Tommy when they were together, but he was an excellant band leader in his own rite, as shown here by the precise and swinging rendition here. JD was still swinging in 1954.
Les Brown was one of the most enduring of the Big Bands and was the "House band" that played on Dean Martin's long running variety show from 1965-74, as well as Bob Hope's go to band for his tours.
Beeny Goodman is always great, and this little novelty number was likely background music for the late 1930s radio sations. It's a largely forgettable tune with precise and lovely execution, elevating it to worthy of saving.
"Stage show" was the name of the Dorsey brothers TV show. Classic, and classy, Dorsey treatment of this great standard. Do you by chance have the other song listed on the label "The High and the Mighty?"
Yes i do. Its scheduled to release in October .
What a nice version of this old classic tune. You can imagine sitting in a late night diner drinking a cup of coffee while this plays on the radio in the backgroud !
Glen Gray had a tight band that could play anything well. Thanks for sharing this.
Les Brown had a wonderful band that swings infectiously here. Thanks for sharing this.
Billy May, bright satin!
I would guess this is Glenn’s first Orchestra
I miss sipping on malts with my best gal in 1952 even though I wasn’t born yet
how would you rank them? Benny Goodman Tommy Dorsey Glenn Miller Artie Shaw
Isn't it Red Nichols? Benny played with him at the time.
Yes, it's Red Nichols, and the trombonist was the young Glenn Miller.
Hamp was awesome!!! He kept swinging for many decades. Thanks for sharing this.
This is so swxy and sophisticated. You can feel looking up at NY City skyscrapers when he hits it up with his trumpet.
A+
I own the original 78 and just played it.
Lovely old tune. Any idea what year it’s from?
I believe it's from the mid 1950's - my guess is 1954. I was unable to find a date anywhere.
@@swingcityradio thats when it was published publicly, most likely first aired in the 1940s.
💝✨
Very nice. Billy May Was underrated.
Nice song 👍
Swing City Radio, I love your channel so much, I just had to subscribe!
I'm so glad you did! Thanks for listening! :)

Thank you so much! Swing City Radio! thanks, personnel!
No problem. Keep listening!
This is a sad April in Paris with a beautiful Bobby Hackett solo
Hello Swing City Radio I heard this song so many times by Les Brown...and other bands but not this one 😊
