How to fix harbor freight engine hoist/shop crane. Easy DIY
Hope you found this video helpful and thanks for watching!
The instruction manual for the Pittsburgh 1ton folding shop crane

I'm no expert, but topping off the oil always works for me. I don't used the engine hoist enough to worry about it, so a quick little refresher of oil and its good to go for the summer.

We got the 5.3 vortec in to the van, now the real work of getting it running can begin. I had LOTS of footage of working on the engine and engine bay but in an effort to make a shorter video, I didn't use most of it , hope you enjoy. check out our Instagram page for more content. How to build Harbor Freight 10 ft. x 17 ft. portable car canopy with easy DIY upgrades
Просмотров 24 тыс.2 года назад
My 1st car cover didn't even last two weeks, so i figured i could build another one stronger. I am assembling a 10 ft. x 17 ft. Portable Car Canopy from Harbor Freight. I used 2x6" ground contact wood as the base and anchored it down with cinder blocks. I also glued all the slip-pipe fittings together and used self tapping screws on all the corner pieces. Hope you found this helpful and thanks ...
Protecting the 4x4 van from rust with spray on undercoating

Since the underside is so bare at the moment, I thought it would be a great time to clean and seal it up. Rust and rot has killed multiple vehicles I've owned, so I want to do everything I can to stop that from happening to this 4x4 van. Summer is gone and the fall weather is setting in. It's been a few years since we have been out the road. I really miss it. I miss the freedom and the excitement. I miss being able to make amazing memories together. Traveling in the van together has been the best time of my life so far. Jade and I bought a fixer-upper house together then fell back into the daily grind. We are trying to build a ...

How to fix an Express van leaking water in rear
Did you end up having anymore leaks after replacing the vent?
@@BossManNavenope, no more leaks after I replaced it and It's never had any water issues since.
Sweet video. Love the edits. Also thanks for showing us that the hoist can support a 200 lb gorilla 💪
240sx spotted! Glad you still have it, thought you may have gotten rid of it somewhere along the way.
@@JayArbiter I always think I'm going to sell it but then I clean it up, take it for a test drive and fall in love with it all over again. The never ending cycle haha
Welcome back sir! Can't wait for the next year, I mean video...
@@doctorkayak haha thank you, I'm going to try and be a little more timely with the uploads
Trying to figure out why people aren't putting the fabric on when you get the roof built. Then just add the bottom after.
I’ve tried this, multiple times, and the paint comes off all of it when I wipe it off. I used a paint marker. I clearly have issues.
Had same problem. Patience is the key. Paint them, let them dry over night and then wipe down with cleaner of your choice.
That's awesome man. Gonna be a sweet van when that's all done!
Love the velcro idea man! Im making some of these atm and been watching 100s of vidz on it ive opted for glass suction cups but will defs keep the velcro idea incase that doesnt work out
Why doesn't a Chinese kid do that at the factory?
Very practical when parked but a serious blind spot when you’re on the go. Good thing they’re removable. 🤙🏼
great job. 👍
if your going to do a clip of how to make a window shade have it teadi think ahead of the clip ...hello
How do you make one of these for the rear windows. That window is angled & I can't even find one they sell through any stores or online. Do those even exist?
Dude you saved money it's so good I would have bought it from you👍🏼Good job thanks for idea
Nice! Thanks for taking time to record and post.
Hows it holding up over a year later?
???
Mans fast forwards on the parts we needed the most smh, it was helpful though
Will this work on chrome sockets?
I've seen ScoutCrafter's videos where he does the same on wrench handles, so it should work fine.
yes
Adding music to a video where the main thing is talking and instructing, is not a good mix. It pulls the viewer's attention away from what you're doing and instructing. Just some feedback so you make the best videos you can. Silence in the background is much preferred by the audience.
Great demo!
Should put . " A video with annoying pointless loud music all the way through making it unbearable to watch"
You did a good job on your canopy. It should be 10X better the way you put it up. 👍👍
Awesome! I have to have my reading glasses AND a flashlight, and still turn them around several times at various angles. Who's garage isn't dark to begin with?
Do you remember exactly where you put in? Thanks!
put a little brake cleaner on the paper towel to get the excess off to make the numbers really pop
That doesn’t work the access will just ware off in time from hand use.
I had one but it could not handle high wens
glad there are so many videos for this, slept in my car for the first time at a rest stop and felt totally naked with all my windows uncovered!
Man this is quite the project, glad you got the engine in there! Always impressing me brother
Come on!!! I'M WATCHIN HERE!!! When's the next one???
Video was awesome and very helpful...have same garage without the directions so thanks for being so detailed in putting it up
so simple and so effective. thanks for a straight forward video my man.
My dude! Just use that black Gorilla tape on the slip joints... problem solved! Assemble the roof frame, tape up the slip joints before proceeding... keep it simple, brother!
That's what I was thinking
Hey can you put this on BARE ground? I have to BUY more stuff? wow mannn! Buy plywood? I plan on just having the whole thing on bare ground and probably put like tarp or something below each pole leg .. Do I NEED self tapping screws? Mandatory? or can I just get by using teflon tape? clear teflon tape.
The adhesive for the velcro softens up quite a bit on hot sunny days.
I want to make these because I’ll be sitting in a car park when it’s half empty and all of a sudden I get cars on either side! Why do people do that when they can park anywhere?? But it really annoys me or gives me an anxiety attack, and I want privacy fast. I wish I could pose as some profession no one wants to be around.. Like police 😇
Best I've seen! Straightforward, thank you. What's the music?
I just got one thanks for the tips how many 2×8s you need?
Sun burn. As a ginger I feel that.
Cool idea to use the spray glue to adhere the curtains, thank you, best of luck, stay safe
Dude really stuck that velcro on the glass. Do better people. You can make the fabric larger than the refletix and sew velcro on the edges and stick the other velcro side to the plastic around the window and not the glass. The reflextic part will still fit snuggly on the glass.
The trick for the sockets is exactly what I was looking for. Nice.
I did something similar with Velcro and window screening. Bought a roll of replacement window screen, cut to size, and attached to window. Instant bug screens for when I need ventilation. My reflectix fits right over it. Love it!
I made sure to put the “hook” part of the velcro was on the window so that the shades (reflectix) does accumulate lint & other stuff when stored (off the window).
Can the windows roll up and down?
Was considering getting this item and came across your video. Great vid, btw, really helpful. I would be setting mine up on concrete, however, and have been looking at weight options. My research online so far suggests 80 lbs per corner for 10x20 tent. How has your tent been holding up with your DIY improvements? How did you determine how much weight to add to anchor your tent?
I dont like the idea of attaching velcro to a window. Id just fit it in and be done. that sticky spray is pretty smelly. Better let that air out a few days.
I kind of want to put some reflectix on the exterior of the windshield to prevent the dashcam from frying.. would this work? Thanks!
Velcro on window will mess up when ya open window during the day
is there another item to use vs sticking/velcro to window? would prefer to not have the stickiness part remaining on windows longterm
Very cool idea might just try that thanks
