This is their first MV and it safed them from obilvion. Their management company was going to pull the plug on them....But someone posted it up on YT and within a couple of weeks..it got millions of views and the company suddenly saw how popular they might be aboard rather than just in Japan.....So gave them more money to expand and the rest is history. This may not be their most complex track or even many's favourite...but it's very important because without it we'ed have no BAND-MAID.......And that would have been a great loss to the world...Long May They Reign.

I am a Japanes 65 old man, fan of Bandmaid from the first appearance in Japan and first Album "Made in Japan". As to leader, i think there is no leader in this band, Saiki(Vo.), Kanami(Gt.), Misa(Bs), AKANE(Dr), Miku(lyrics and rhythm Gt.)are leader of their own they collaborate only for the good music making only. This is rarely talented personality that appears in Japan.

Hey Anna, honesty is the best policy. If your taste is geared toward great Hard Rock bands then you're at the right place. If you're not too fond of Hard Rock then Band-Maid is not for you. If you care to give them another try let's go Live with Domination or Play or Real Existence.

Band Maid music videos or live, they all are enjoyable. Checkout the MV "Endless Story" or "Daydreaming' or Awkward (live) for something softer.

Well, as I see, Manners is the type of music which is their main direction. A solid piece of Rock. And Band-Maid offers for sure a wide frame of music, but at last they are a Rock-Band. I really did not understand what you did not like, the explanation was not clear. In my mind it was a great melody, great singing ( one of the best from Saiki )....just a good Rock-Song. About lyrics...yes, they are important, but you don't need to understand to enjoy a good song. As a German ( my English is not perfect, but on a good level ), I had to struggle my whole life with English lyrics, but this did not bother me to listen to songs with english lyrics. So I do not understand the weeping of so many English speaking guys, about not understanding the lyrics. Remember, the most people on this planet have not English as their mother language. I think this is a luxury problem. This may sound a little harsh now, but sorry I'm also honest.

Thanks lead guitarist Kanami for your compositions, and 2nd guitarist Miku for your lyrics, and everyone else for everything else. Like the unique, awesome outro, every Band-Maid song has a touch of class because the Maids have class. A remarkable, important band in so many aspects! "aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, awesome!" And thank you Annas, for your Band-Maid reaction! Don't worry. Every Band-Maid song will probably grow on you in some way if you give it a chance. It's just what happens! ;-)

I appreciate your honesty. Based upon your reactions to "Manners" and "Freedom", yeah, "Manners" is probably not your cup of tea. A good feature about Band Maid is that group offers something for everybody, it's just a matter of finding the music you enjoy. I'll take a chance here with you and based upon what I perceive as your music preferences, I might recommend Band Maid's official live version of "Wonderland." Oh, and to answer your question, Band Maid's live performances for me are always better than watching scripted music videos.

When they released this video Miku (pigtails singing back-up/harmony) didn't even know how to play a guitar. She's quite accomplished these days, but it is nice to be reminded of the work she put in to really get this band going.

They have 80 songs and no bad ones. DICE MV came after Thrill and is a rocker. RINNE MV is the heaviest. Daydreaming is the most melodic and emotional. My fav song is BLOOMING.

I really like "Real Existence." MV and live are both great. Also, they have an alter-ego called Band Maiko. A maiko is a type of geisha. BM did an April Fools version of one of their own songs, adding traditional Japanese instruments, costumes. and even changing the singing dialect to reflect the world of geisha. Killer song called "Secret Maiko Lips."
