Had a lot of difficulty trying to get the ls fired up for the 1st time. All of it had to do with me not understanding the motor and the difference parts that work and dont work. Found out that i have a gen3 block with a gen 4 crankshaft which means i had the wrong cam sensor and location. #automobile #engineblock #holley #lspowered #lsswap #racing #enginepart #cutlass #1965 #terminator

You have Ruined it !! Good work Homer.
Thanks. Guess that its running dont mean anything 🫢
Where you get this
Cj pony
@@theshark2804 what foam is this called just in case they don't have it
@@arturosifuentes7506 it matches the cover. So its just the bolster foam that matches the covers
Sounds good man
Thanks man.
🥁💨💯 motivation
Always
If you running flat tappet Make sure you dont let your car idle for the 1st 30 mins.
Its ok bro, stuff happens. What cam and crank sensor are you using?
I have a ss2 and the its a gm 58x cam sensor. I have to get around to uploading the vids but its running now. Sounds pretty good.
Ever put these in?
No, I haven’t spent most of my time working on my 65 cutlass. I will be picking up the project again probably in the fall.
Did the ebay turbo manifold ever work out?
Yeah it fit. But the issue was the rest of the plumbing. I didnt want to play with it anymore. Just focus on getting the car started now. Might consider a torque storm supercharger later.
I feel ya, I might switch the log to a Fahler now that he may be making them again with a wait time.
@@Janky214 oh crap. I didnt know that. If i see them pop up i will pick one up just in case.
Looking good Shark
Thanks. Should be ready for a fire up soon. Checking all my work on the new wiring harness. Everything seems to be right so far.
That thing looks good man keep it coming nice watching an learning 👀🍿
Thank man. Do your homework before spending your cash. I’ve been thought 3 sets of mounts and 4 pans.
@@theshark2804 😂😂 Will do 🙏
Nice work Shark!
It’s the less popular brother of the chevelle
It’s coming along nicely 🔥
Sometimes it pays to pay a little extra glad you got it figured out
Man don't let it get the best of you! Almost got it
Thanks. I have to finish uploading the other vids. I made huge steps in the process.
6.0 turbo is my vote.
I sold all my turbo stuff 😂.
Nice covers
Thanks.
Thanks for the shoutout fam looking good!! 👍
No problem 👍
👀
Clean fam 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks. I should be solid with the 6.0 I just built.
🔥🔥👍
Plate? It’s adds strength. Might have to drill the holes out on the control arm.
Hey I'm putting one together now how was the drilling of the tubular plate
Letttssss goooooooo
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks. Figured it will give a nice touch to the interior
was the bumper and fenders/grill swap a direct fit?
In the front yes. The rear you have to do some crazy cutting
@@theshark2804 thank you! we just got our 73 running i'm thinking about doing the front swap
@@TM-ti3md unless you can get most of the parts for near free I wouldn’t do it again. Tuck the bumpers and maybe color match. Save the money and get a Dakota Digital dash 😎
Nah bro stick with it. You are right there
This is exactly how you get to where you want to be man! Keep at it, all those L's will lead to you eatin W's, and will be well worth it in the end baby!
Stick to the 6.0 turbo setup in the long run, you’ll be happy and pleased with the power.
I see you, bbc ftw
Looking good fam let’s Gooo 🎉
Thanks.
Stick with the turbo idea, you’ll regret it if you bail on it. Like you said you basically have all the parts. Run it on low boost until you upgrade the rest of the stuff you pointed out. Baby steps.
Yeah. We will see. If I did I would have to get another style log. The Holley one is too dependent on fab skills. Might pick up another eBay log and try it. But for now I’m going to put this 6.0 together and get it swapped in place of the 5.3.
Yessir let’s gooo 🔥🔥🤩
@@theshark2804 very cool looks like you went with the eBay manifold 👍 mine had the right angle
@@theshark2804 I found the one I used it’s from Amazon MMI Motorsports LLC that’s the company that makes it not eBay and it’s the right position
@@theshark2804 If you run the turbo make sure you use the turbo drain I mentioned you won’t have drainage issues also make sure you don’t use the original valve covers with 10an fittings for crank case pressure get the btr valve covers worth every penny those are two things extremely important drainage and crank case pressure
Yessir good choice!!
Trying. Thinking of pulling this engine and moving it to the cougar. I found a few ls3 blocks but Im still on the fence. I don’t want to get screwed
Coming along nice 👍
Sub’d
How much was that dude bent over in order to drive off with that thing?
Yessiirrr
You should see my welds 🤣. My cheap ass should have paid someone.
@@theshark2804I bet they don't look worse than mine. As long as it holds and seals its all good bro
Nice
Fuck man …thinking about selling my 73 to get a heads cam corvette z06 , girl friend wants something more modern with Ac and a longer range for lil Vacations and shit 🤦🏽♂️. I would basically have to drop 30-40k to “pro tour “ it the way it is now. In a tough spot
Long range and corvette don’t mix. They ride stiff for distance. Vintage air and fuel inj and enjoy it! No smog!
I'm looking at a 74 myself. Sounds good. 👍
Not sure if you like the bumpers. But it’s not worth the swap. I would tuck them and color match
I Think That's A 1972.
No it’s a 73 with a front end conversion
@@theshark2804 Interesting Combination.
@@FemboySalad2000s yeah it’s not worth it unless you can get everything almost free. I over spent. The only used part was the bumper I picked up for $25.
My 6.0 got some rust not as bad in 2 cylinders, debating to send it.
I would. But if I had a 6.0 I would get it bored out to make a killer stroker and wouldn’t have to run boost. But I would at least get new rings and run a good oil.
Did u ever get that bottom seat done how much did shop charge to add material?
They charged $100 and did a terrible job. So I end up using a little heat and everything worked out. Tmi use a very thick material that won’t rip like others.
Not me
How much kilmat did u end up using n where u get carpet n did u use mass backed
A few boxes for the car and trunk. I believe I got the carpet from cj pony. It’s was backed and it’s pretty cheap. If you do it let it sit for a few days to rest before you cut it.
Did u ever get the rear seat finished I bought same kit for my cougar want to see how u finished yours
Yeah. Take your time and use a little bit of heat. It can fit. If you have a good upholstery shop ask them to add a little material all the way around so you can have something to hog ring to.
mine has that exhuast i really like the sound i want to get cutouts to make it louder.
You know we gotta get a video with the fuel shooting down
Thats nice bro
Thanks. Still got a ways to go. This should help
