This is a different product from the first edition for the DSM-5. The fold over portion has been lengthened to catch the page. Something about the glue for some reason not adhering to itself on the original. Reasons for not doing it that way initially had to do with concern that would thicken the front edge by the equivalent of about 15 pages; also might encourage the pages to tear if put under stress. But the change was made anyway, because the original had that puzzling adhesion problem. This is a good product. .

Finally, I'm sorry for your pain. Not all adoptions turn out as well as these, at least for the mother. (It's clear the children are happy and well.) I hope you find peace in the daily joy and safety you have given your child. Sometimes the road back to happy and well goes through pain - I hope you get all the way through.

Not all women are in a place where they can provide food, shelter, clothes, or even safety. When the choice is between killing the unborn child, raising it in an unhealthy environment, or placing it in a healthy and loving family, it's easy to see that adoption can be the best choice. Ideally you get pregnant only when in a stable lifelong loving marriage - but that is getting rarer. Women who choose adoption are putting their child above their own pain, and that's noble.

Hi Anji, I thought it was important to have your comment on the site, even though I disagree that it's hopeless. I know that many woman carry a lot of pain after adoption. But it doesn't have to be that way. It is a way to go through the pain to something better on the other side. Some of these women are doing much better over the years as they watch their children grow in a healthy family. Some now have other children. Pain can be replaced with the knowledge that you gave your child safety.

It's not the best decision! You will regret it for the rest of your life and there is no guarantee that your child will be ok with it either. It's difficult to deal with an unplanned pregnancy. I know, I was a teen mom at one, but it was worth it. Don't listen to them you are good enough to be your baby's mom. In fact you are the best person to be your child's mom! You can do it. You see this girl crying? That pain will never ever go away. That pain is with you every single day. Keep your baby!!
