How likely would it be for the BoS to not vote in favor of the tentative agreement? Its probably not likely, but what happens if Chaffee decides to vote agaist the tentative agreement with Do and Wagner as he is upset he was not enodrsed by the Dem party?
Why don't they ever provide/release the tentative agreement so members can make a better educated vote?
I thought they did provide the details with the e-mail from Thursday evening?
They did email it to us. But I want to know, why they always rush the voting. Have the union meetings when it's difficult for people to attend, and then never give us what the exact results of the voting were.
I miss spoke, I meant to say tentative MOU. There is a lot of language that we are not made aware of since we don't get to see/read the tentative MOU. Case in point, the last contract, we didn't see/read the tentative MOU until it was approved.

How does this help County employees already retired? We are trapped in the county plans, which are super expensive. I moved my wife to the ACA off the county because it was 500 cheaper. We should be able to use the grant in its current form to use it on the ACA and get rid of the county runs plans. The county would save money by not maintaining the plans and retirees could use the ACA, which is way cheaper then the county. Also why are the county plans so expensive compared to the ACA, that needs to be looked at closely. Another issue as a 32 year County employee I paid decades into retiree medical grant through my paycheck. Where is that money at, I want it back and it would be thousands. So basically in a nut shell this does nothing to help the retiree, and that is wrong!
Unfortunately we have thus far lost 20 hours PIP time and also several weeks of vacation time (categorized as sick time which is now going to waste for most of us unless we keep getting sick!!). Not to mention the caps on both vacation and sick time. And now this! In a smoke and mirror action with only one week to decide and with heavy advertising for the change to retirement health benefit, we lost yet another benefit. No wonder the BOS jumped on it right away and ratified within a day! The pay and benefits are now so subpar that the County can't fill massive vacancies and many people are retiring as soon as possible. One wonders if there is any value of remaining a member anymore!
Will the new grant agreement be vested now?

Is the raise negotiations, if any, held hostage until we vote on the grant? Asking for myself & others.
If your read the current MOU, there is a portion stating the retire medical benefits would be discussed and that’s what the current vote is for. Negotiations for raises and anything else begin next year, for new MOU updates. This retire medical isn’t part of that as it’s already in the current MOU from 2019/2022
What are “qualified medical expenses”? Are we at the mercy of the IRS?
$60/pp is peanuts… $855 w/o CPI, really?
How much will the county charge for investing HRA $?
This is not coming out of our income or a deduction. County already puts money into the current fund for each member, this would be into HRA instead.
@@missirisb I'm asking about the brokerage fees &/or account maintenance fees such as in 457 acct. Surely the county will not pay for these fees, but I may be wrong.
