Pigtail for battery connection is it actually called that bc I’m trying to find that and can’t find it does the battery come with that when you order it?

This would be a good idea if my inverter was more than 2 feet from my batteries, but its not. Ive found no problems with 12v so i see no reason to change anything. And its way more universal, i can literally use my daughters scooter battery to turn on my inverter and at least get 80watts out of it. Thats 4 hours on my small tv give or take a little efficiency loss.

Doing a quick comparison from 12 to 48 for all of the components for 48 volt systems cost substantially more than a 12-volt system. The money you're going to save in Copper seems negligible to jump from 12 to 48 volts. I could be wrong but this just seems what my experience is with the recent research I have been doing

I don't know where you got that wire chart from but according to that chart it's saying that 14 gauge is good for under 2 meter run? 14 gauge wire is NOT recommended for 20 amps under any length. 12 gauge is the MIN required for 20 amps. Anyone using 14 gauge wire for 20 amps is just asking for trouble. You might get away with it for SHORT durations but under constant load those wire will burn up. Love the video otherwise. I just don't want someone getting hurt, burned or possibly start a fire.

Your not tin'ing your iron so the heat isn't flowing very good from the tip to the solding point. Tinning also keeps the tip from oxidizing, which your tip has gone/going bad? I used a Pinecil Solder pen. 80w. 400c It's hot but it' fast and my solder joints are stronger than the bonds of time.

I got a 15A because it was half the price and in a pinch I can charge my lithium house battery with my lead acid car battery without hurting it or my altenator.

Actually, charging a LiFePO4 battery to 14,6v is only possible either, if you have a fully perfect top balanced cells, or a misprogramed bms allowing you to gi above 3,65v per cell. My experience with LiFePO4 is that from 13,8/14v to 14,6 is actually 1/2% capacity or less, and after 13,8v, or 3,45v per cell, you get basically nothing in capacity, and you only stress your battery chemistry. Those chargers CCCV is not the way to charge the battery correctly, you need a LiFePO4 profile charger, that makes bulk (14,2v for faster charging), absorption (13,8v for fully absorbing) and float at 13,5v. These charge profiles is what a solar charge controller does, and that is the correct way to charge it.

The typical Marine Trolling battery size is the Group Size 31 battery (which is the battery you bring out @1:17). The Group Size 34 battery has about the same footprint as a Group Size 24 battery but is about an inch shorter. And most Group 34 batteries are sold with a spacer to place under the battery to allow it to fit in Group Size 24 applications.

....but that ring on your other hand would cause severe burns if you shorted it to the battery.

The advantage of a 12v system only comes into play when your heating and air conditioner units and your refridgerator are 12 volts. With 12 volt devices you don't need to go through an inverter and may run them directly from the 12 volt battery. All inverters use power so devices hooked direct will run longer without an inverter sucking power out of your system.

there is a good reason why the world uses 120 ac or 240 ac. the size of the wire. 12v dc is only ok for small size system. or your wire size becomes large very quickly. 48v dc is really good and will replace a lot of 12v systems real fast.. the future is here.

Any recommendations for a fardriver that has a wide range of use? I currently have a 72v 2kw ebike but I want to eventually go up to 72v 8kw and maybe even 96v

i have this exact same bike im building i used mounts like this the first time on my qs138 and they didnt hold up against full power so im in the process of designing newer beefier ones i jus put a bettter bms on my aliexpress battery as it was the cheapest option for me as i cant afford anything crazy rn

Those cheap controllers have self learning capabilities when the tire spins wrong direction you connect the two black wires that usually say nothing sometimes they are white depends on what off brand you have I guess the FarDriver are good so far I only ever had one that broke down and wouldn’t run an auto learn the same way I had to full throttle let off let it read throttle error n repeat on my qs138 but my my1020 3km kunray eith same controller is jus full throttle and hold till the motor switch’s directions n stops so it all depends on what motor your tryin to use

Usually the hall sensors in the motor. Controllers were all likely fine. Replace the hall sensors or buy a new 1020 w working hall sensors.

Hey tackle that I bought a nd72450 Fardriver controller from econiccycles and a pre wired voltmeter with a key ignition I got the throttle and the voltmeter installed correctly is it optional to have a power cord at 8:20 because if so then the only thing I'm waiting on is my Amorge 72v battery.
