Whoa this is an interesting new discovery, how did we make the connection?
It’s been a journey of discovery. First understanding that mould was the root cause, seeing connections between food and behaviour and doing research. The work of Dr. Ritchie Schoemaker discusses this gene and how it is affected by mould.

So can they have treats, say at a birthday party??
Not whilst they are healing. They prefer to feel stable.
Other studies say it doesn't and the majority of articles and research papers quite clearly state that a link has not been established. My child is autistic and had no mould exposure, neither did I in pregnancy. Autism does however run in my family. Hasn't this link been proven? If you want to look for a link between mould and autism you'll surely find one. As for an autism cure, those of us with autistic children find this highly offensive. Autism isn't a disease to be cured. Yes, it's difficult for the individual and their families but it comes with many gifts to be celebrated.
