It's been two and a half years since Philippe asked me to make my second music video for him. He really wanted me to make an animated music video, something I had very little experience in.
What originally was supposed to be done in about 9 months ended up taking 28.
This video encompasses so much for me. I've spent days just trying to figure out what to write in such a short post. For me, this video is the final piece that marks the end of what has been the most difficult chapter of my life.

Thanks! It was a while ago. I think it was either the Sony Zeiss 55mm f1.8 or the SLR magic 35mm f1.2.

Thanks a bunch! I probably edited the bulk of it less than a couple hours between breaks at the office I work at. The rest of it took days of misery on my home computer. My iMac is 6 years old and suffers from some sort of issue where it keeps corrupting ram. This paired with the glitchy dumpster fired that is premiere caused so many issues and literal days for things that should take minutes. I finally had to switch to my wife’s laptop because my iMac couldn’t render it properly. So all that to say - if I were to edit it on a properly functioning computer it would probably take something like 4-6 hours including the Catalyst processing.

Thanks! I used the 28mm f2. I would liked to have used my 18mm f2.8 for the main sequence, but I didn’t have it at the time as this was an unplanned shoot.

Hello, in the Timelapse application of my Sony A7 RII, the maximum movie size is 1920x1080 (16:9). How did you set the application for 4k? Regards.

Jake And Kim: Marriage Films sorry I'm new to camera and cinematography. so the camera is taking 11 pictures per second for 24hrs? and you use light room to make into video?
I just used the app. It was a couple years ago so I don't remember the settings. That being said, it was only a couple hours I'm pretty sure.
This is so sick. What did you use for color grading?
Lightroom, since they are photographs.
Amazing. It doesn't look as if AF was struggling to hunt some focus, even with some awful lightning
How are you rendering the lapse in 4k?
In premiere pro.
