Those K2's are a great option. I did the same with the LM's starting with the R10. I love my SkyTrak+ and I prefer a side sitting LM. I just got a Uneekor Eye Mini Lite as well and will be rolling out content with that LM soon. A good gaming PC with a fast GPU RTX 3060ti or higher for 1080P and 3080 or higher for 4K is super helpful! I think always get 32G of memory as well and i7 or higher CPU. Thanks for watching!

You had your first golf sim fail. Welcome to the club! This one only cost you time and work as you will be able to recoup your money. I would get a projector that is capable of both horizontal and vertical keystone. Corner fit is also very helpful. Over 3000 lumens can help as well.

While on course click on the small box in the upper right hand corner which brings up the game menu. Then click on shot options which will open up a box on the bottom left. Then click concede and confirm. As long as you don't unclick shot options the concede option will stay live for the rest of your round

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes it's a simple setting that throws everything off. Mine kept on disconnecting and it was not the fault of the Garmin or the GSPro BT connector app. It was my internal PC BT adaptor. It even said it was still connected to Bluetooth! It was not strong enough in my three car garage. I purchased one with an antenna on Amazon for $15 and disabled the internal BT connector and it has not disconnected since. Make sure you are not closing the popup that says APIv1 Connect Window, that also has the General and Debug tabs. Just minimize it. Another thing you can do is open GSPro first. Just minimize the APIv1 Connect Window without closing. Then hit F11 and minimize GSPro. THEN start your bluetooth connector and maximize GSPro then hit F11. This works for some people. Also make sure that you have a clean JSON file for the GSPro BT connector app. I advise leaving it in the original folder you unzip it to in addition to leaving the GSPro connector app start file in there and just create a shortcut to it on your desktop. In the end the Garmin R10 is NOT supported by GSPro so it can become difficult to figure out. If this does not help I suggest trying the Springbok connector. You can connect through BT or direct. You're welcome! That's pretty tight. I would go 9ft to the screen and 6.5 ft to the LM if you went with the Garmin. Then you can't have anyone moving at all behind you before the backswing though. It's hard to get friends or myself to stop moving! You could also go with the OG SkyTrak which is only $995 right now...but how much longer is that LM going to be able to use newer software? IDK. That's why I took the plunge on the SkyTrak+. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thanks for the suggestion! I have only used regular balls for short chips. The frustrating thing is when you've got 8-10 ft to the hole 3 inches on the fringe and you can't putt. Then I or a friend chips what they or I think is perfect and it does not register. Then the next one blows 15 feet past the hole because they or I have to hit it much harder. Typically I just offer a free mulligan to compansate on a future hole. I love the Garmin and I won't stop using it...but having the ability to putt drives my scores lower. Especially with the dreaded auto 3 putt! Thanks again for watching and commenting!

Congrats on your new LM! I toyed around with the idea of just getting the OG SKYTRAK to save money but decided to get the latest model for longevity and potential future exclusive software. It looks like E6 is the only option for IOS for now but SKYTRAK will be releasing SKYTRAK Course Play for IOS in September for newer iPads running the M2 chip

@@Break100Golf Ok that sounds good. Would you know if an ipad 10th gen meets that requirement?

The 10th gen has an A14 Bionic chip. You would need an ipad Air M2 or you could likely use the ipad Pro M4. I would check with SkyTrak to be certain on the Pro M4 but it would make sense that it would work because it's even faster.

Thanks! The SKYTRAK content is not getting anywhere near the views of the Garmin R10 but I am going to keep making SKYTRAK content and slip in Garmin and general golf sim vids. I'm certain it's due to the $599 vs $2995 cost. In the end I think SKYTRAK will grow exponentially. The only info I have about the IOS release is what SKYTRAK says. "We’re working on an iOS version that will release around September, but that will only be for newer iPads running the M2 chip." Thanks for watching and commenting!

Thanks for watching! Unfortunately I do not have any experience with direct connect. It seems like just another unsupported hack! Honestly if I have to many issues with an unsupported launch monitor connector I tool with it for a few days, look for answers, and move on. For the average golfer, I think the V3 is plenty good enough. I am able to carry it easily as far as any other ball I use. I have hit them THOUSANDS of times. I do like the Callaway Cromesoft much better for shots inside 150 yards.

Thanks! No...I still plan on using the Garmin R10 and GSPro, and doing videos. I'm planning a video for the next few weeks on the Garmin. I wanted a camera based side sitting LM that I could putt with. I also was very intrigued with the new Skytrak integrated course play which I am loving! The Garmin is still very valuable to me especially with the open API platform in GSPro.

Mine is slightly sloped. The slope up to the screen from where you strike your ball is mostly irrelevant. The slope down from your ball to the launch monitor(LM) is important. Especially if you are using a LM that sits 6.5 feet plus behind your ball like the Garmin, Rapsodo, and Flightscope. Just make sure that the LM is vertically level to the ball. In the case of the Skytrak, Flightscope, Trackman, Bushnell and other side resting LM's they will have different methods of leveling their product, but also important.

I'm so happy my videos have been helpful for you! Congrats on the new Skytrak+! I still like the Garmin but I will NEVER try to putt with it using another unsupported source. I love using it with GSPro on autoputt and will continue to. The only issue with the Garmin is short chipping but I get through it. I'm extremely impressed with the new Skytrak on course software. I will never try to connect it to GSPro. I'm really looking forward to future course releases by Skytrak. To drop 30 courses at launch is impressive. I was hopeful that Skytrak would be able to get E6 Apex eventually but the course play launch could be a hint that they won't be getting it any time soon. Although E6 has not released any courses yet with Apex. It looks incredible though. In the mean time I'm happy with the device and the amazing new course play software. I have at least 15 video ideas that I will unleash in the next 3 months. Cheers!

Wow...E6 Apex just added Skytrak, Garmin, and FlightScope to their launch monitor list! Just after I talked about it...it happens a day later. Very exciting. I guess the courses are coming this fall.

I used alignment sticks and a level and marked the outline on the floor for placement. I have a strip mat that is the same 2 inch height as my hitting mat. The Garmin R10 is doppler radar. It does not care about where the screen height vertical projection is. Just the horizontal center. You could project your image 2 feet above the Garmin and the software will still give you the same ball flight, height, spin etc. It reads from the position it is struck from. Just make sure the monitor is vertically level and horizontally square. Joe Lagowski and David Maxfield have good leveling videos. I would check those out!

@@Break100Golf I’ve noticed the Skytrak+ club head speeds are off. On course I can hit my 9 iron 130 yards plus. On the skytrak I’m lucky to go 120 yards… something is definitely off with the Skytrak+. Club head speeds and the slice and draws are just off. It’s fairly newer so a lot of bugs need fixing… I rarely even play sim rounds on it. I just use the range for hours on end at night lol. So yes the K2 golf tees you can watch videos about them on RUclips. Well worth the price. Only issue I thunk of after I wrote you the message is, the feathers get tangled up too much if you use more than one tee. I have driver, hybrid, and iron tee setup on the beanbag. Definitely check em out and let me know how you like them.

@@Break100Golf as far as the charging issue with your Skytrak+, maybe contact Skytrak help team and see if it’s a defect. I mean if you’re spending 3 grand, that shouldn’t be happening… mine charges fine, without being plugged in on a full charge I can get at least four hours in one session.

Thanks for watching and commenting! I can't attest 100% to it's accuracy because I've only tested it once. I just got it...but I did have accurate numbers from the Skytrak+ with my irons in that session. I had one swing that was questionable but that can happen. I don't know yet for sure on the driver as I have not hit more than 5 balls, but it seemed pretty normal for me. It seemed normal compared to past results with other LM's. Hopefully I can get the results I'm used too hitting more balls with a full power swing next session. I have used Trackman, Foresight, Garmin, and now Skytrak+. They all seem to be pretty close but my swing speed was slightly faster on the Foresight GC Quad. I will be doing tons of videos testing the Skytrak+ over the next few months so stay tuned! Hopefullly I get accurate numbers.

I sent Skytrak a message about it. It continued charging slow until it got to 61%, but from there it charged 5 times faster. I ran it down to 90% just doing a screen recording without any golf sim. After I plugged it back in it charged to 100% in less than an hour. It seems like it may be ok. I'm not going to run it down as far as I did again. I got the "Charge now" message at 10% charge left. I'm not doing that again. That may have caused the issue. I'm just going to leave it plugged in during sim sessions to help slow the charge drop.

Thanks so much for this awesome breakdown and for watching! My Garmin R10 has been very reliable. People seem to still be interested in the device so I will continue to make content with the R10. I would like to see them "officially" integrate with GSPro or come up with a subscription package with TGC 2019. In the end they will likely come out with an R11 type monitor which would need to have a camera integrated and be able to putt in order for most people to consider it. The camera at least for sure! In the mean time I will still use it along with my new Skytrak. Lot's to come with that!!! Cheers!

I have seen quite a few people tweek the elevation setting. You could also try going back and forth with the GSPro and the Garmin algorithm which you can change in the settings or try RCT balls

Hey there!..yes it's open API. There is only one GSPro. It will work with the R10 if it's connected properly. I have a newer version of the R10 Bluetooth connector video if you want to check it out!!!
