heads up, just bought an Avanti frame, so this bike`s deore xt groupset will be a doner in a few weeks, if no one buys the bike.

keep in mind, this is SIXTY FOUR, 64!!!! years of use!

thought I'd try my galaxy, and not impressed with night time filming.

one thing I've noticed, the finish on the sister Raleigh owned brands components, are not as good as the Raleigh components. The brake calipers is an excellent example, the calipers look like, they just had a quick buff on the wheel after casting, before dipping in nickel. you can see deviations in the surface on the later Phillips calipers. the chrome and finish is MUCH higher on the 50s Raleigh Calipers.

fourd speed is a fg hub, i dont know why i kept saying gw!

The hub is doing exactly what my FG did in my Boulevard Tourist. A degrease and relube of the internals is all it needed. Fortunately I have a couple of sets of internals ready for transplants if there are any wear issues. It’s a lovely bike. I would do the minimum intervention to preserve it in good riding order.

i`ll correct myself on the front wheel nuts and cones. of course, they may have been replaced, in the bikes life!

for people asking me 29er 27.5 or 26'' i prefer 26' less rolling mass, quicker reacting on tight turns, although the bigger rims are better for a smooth ride, they bend easier and retain more rolling mass,

This is the kinda car that every cowboy needs!

I have had mine for five years now. They are a little heavier than I would have liked, but it is made of steel. I have found it has lost some plastic parts such as handlebar end caps, caps on the rack, and on the crank! I am guessing it has happened when folded up and in transportation, mostly busses and taxis in my case. Paintwork on the frame, although not a high-quality finish is a nice thick coat, so scratches can be buffed out, but it will chip if knocked against something hard. If you wanted to give it an extra few coats of lacquer, I think this world help with transporting it, or consider getting a bag. Mudguards, I was not so impressed with! They started going rusty in the second year, and I ended up taking them off and repainted the inside of them. If you want them to last I would recommend getting the inside painted with a nice thick coat of paint and the tops a couple of good coats of lacquer. Gear's I can't fault them, keep them clean of course. Breaks work very well, although I have had problems with balancing them on adjustment, and I am considering fitting calliper brakes. Standard tyres they come with are the business, I've never had a flat, and have taken them to bald! If you are looking for a second hand folding bike, I would recommend these.
