I love to see new players for Rocket League, if you want tips and tricks I would recommend RUclipsrs like Lethamyr; he is a wonderful creator. I would also recommend trying to analyze better players and incorporate what they are doing into your own game.

Man , it takes me back watching this. I started playing back in 2016 when I was 17 years old, and now I'm still playing after thousands of hours. I remember when starting out I was absolutely awful, and for the first 50 hours I could barely hit the ball, like at all. Still had fun though cause everyone else I was playing with/against also sucked. It took 2.5k hours and 7 years of on/off playing before I reached Grand Champ, but no matter what skill level you can always get better, so I'm still here and probably won't quit until the game dies at some point, if it ever does. I'm glad new people are discovering the game for the first time still though. I've introduced friends and stuff to RL before, but it's often difficult because due to the insane skill difference between new players (and even just lower ranked players in general) it's difficult when you want to play together with your beginner friends. They of course improve faster than I do as progression is faster earlier on, but it's definitely a barrier to overcome for new players. It's the same with most other competitive games though, but because this game has no gimmicks and is essentially purely skill based (aside from the luck element of course) it's especially hard for them to keep up. Of course if you only team up with other beginners it's not a problem.

I've had a smile on my face the whole time, because of how rare it is to find players that are new to the game and how enjoyable it is back then (for me) There are many tips in the game but i think the fundamentals like knowing the car mechanics first then probably increase your knowledge. honestly i enjoyed this video even tho it isnt for me, but honestly watching this video was worth the time. 😂😂😂 i loved it. subbed for sure how long will you guys play this game? ❤

Most important tip from watching: the fundamental movement of this game is the flip. If you press the jump button twice in a row while moving your left joystick forward, you will gain speed and maintain your new speed. So if you find yourself needing to be faster but don’t have anymore boost(or you’d like to save your boost) then definitely try to utilize this fundamental mechanic. Also once you get the flip down for use with movement, you can start to incorporate using it when hitting the ball. Using a flip is the basic way to generate quick power on ball touches. I would just head into free play and practice flipping around the field and hitting the ball. Then eventually work your way into flipping into the ball.

I highly encourage you to turn off screen shake, it will make the game feel much smoother.

all i have to say is i think you guys should keep playing rocket league and try to flip and boost more on the kick offs and try practicing

Good on you both. It’s so good watching new players join this awesome game. If you both want to improve your gameplay, head into basic tutorials and work on hit the ball. Just basic hit in the centre will help you aim it where you want to hit it. Most of the comments are right, with kick offs and such. You also have an extra flip when you jump and get a more powerful hit. A tip would be using car cam to line your shot up. Ball cam should be used most of the time. I’ve been playing this game since 2020, I’ve peaked at Champion 3. So time in the game helps a lot. Keep grinding you both are doing well.

A small tip, the person who is in the diagonal (45 degrees) kickoff position is closer to the ball than the people who are lined up straight on, which is part of why they were getting to the ball faster. The un-written "rule" for kickoffs is that if two people are in an equal position, the person on the left goes. That "rule" and other nuances about kickoffs become more relevant as you move up the ranks, you can find this stuff in tutorial videos if/as you get more into the game. Glad to see some new people playing the game, keep having fun!

Its a weird feeling watching people play a game i grew up on and had fun learing from the start like this, im currently Grand Champ 1, and my best advice would be just to play the game, the games controls are definitely unique and hard to get a grasp of at first but its fun once you get the hang of them, other then that just have fun

it's so interesting to see new players at the game, I'm not at all that good but I have been playing for a few years

Kaylee said she was struggleing with the turning radius so here is a tip ( im about D1 btw) you can turn your controller deadzone lower for tighter turns or higher for less tight and also if you are not useing controller I highly recomend switching because KBM is very hard for RL

and also heres a tip if you go hold down forward and jump two times straight you can do a frontflip which can make you do a stonger attack on the ball

This brings back memories😂😂 Just utilize the ball-cam feature and flip forward a little whenever u gotta catch up to the ball. ALSO, you can swivel your camera around to track the ball with the right stick :) this was a fun watch
