As I mentioned, 'Zakazane piosenki' (Forbidden Songs) was the first post-war Polish film and, at the same time, a quasi-musical. The song ‘Czerwone jabłuszko’ featured in this film has its lyrics altered from the original so as to correspond to the reality under German occupation. In this scene, the music on the street is used to muffle the shots of the traitor's execution and this is also what the song's lyrics are about. btw. Alina Janowska singing in this scene took part in the Warsaw Uprising as a liaison officer. It was only 3 years before this scene was filmed

This scene comes from the first Polish cinema movie made after World War II "Zakazane piosenki" (Forbidden Songs) from 1946. The action takes place during the German occupation. The woman in front of the mirror is Polish, the lover of a German officer, whose photos we see on the table. She collaborates with the Nazis, which we see earlier, as she betrays a Polish boy to the Germans and leads to his death. She does not like Polish songs, considers herself German and therefore closes the window. The men walking up the stairs are executioners of the Polish Underground State, who will soon execute this woman for treason and collaboration with the Germans. The orchestra in the yard is part of the action. The music is to drown out the gunfire.

Slovak wife?! OMG!

Hello from Slovakia capital - Bratislava... this video is very well done... I visited all (and more) locations in the video, and to tell the truth... the video highligts the most beautiful sides of the locations. Lot of the times, you get tired when you hike the castles, and I'm scared of heights, so when I was in High Tatras I was alway fighting with feeling of being scared and amazement.. :D but to tell you the truth, if you put headphones with this music (which was in video) and walk through Slovakia you may have the same feeling as when you watch this video... also most of the times when you see Slovakia most beautifull is the time when you aren't feeling so comfortable with weather.. :D it's not for scaring you, but to tell the truth the mist here is bad, but from drone view it looks magicaly... also the feeling of every city is amazing, because in Slovakia there are cities which are 1000 years old... and also lot of castles are museums filled with the feeling of deep history...
