Railfanning in the mohawk valley Csx subdivision with a lot of Amtrak. I don’t know the exact statistics as to the number killed while crossing railroad tracks. But come on people, just how lazy does one have to be not first look both ways before starting across any tracks!! And to see some videos of people actually going around stop arms. Then to read later that their loved ones sued the railroad .claiming they,(the railroad)were negligent. Even though, the lights were flashing. Or at the very least, the train was blaring its horn repeatedly. Regardless of whether or not there were crossing arms and warning lights, one still must look both ways before crossing.
