5 planes from KRHV planned a lunch at Shelter Cove on Fathers Day 2021. The weather looked as if it would clear up but unfortunately, it never did. This is a quick overview of my flight and diversion to KRDD (Redding) with two other planes. Lunch was great but it was HOT!

Glad you had the mask on for safety. Time to find a new CFI.
I just got this plane on MSFS. Didn't realize I would be watching videos with real pilots :)
Please share the link! I've been looking for one......THANKS
@@nodouttaviation2817it’s in the in game store. It’s called FSR500 in the game not a piper cause of copyright I guess.
@@nodouttaviation2817 It's called FSR 500 or FSReborn 500 :)
You representing a whole aircraft take the bloody mess off
Curious as to why you have comments disabled on the videos after this one. I would have added that I always land left of centerline too.
Truthfully I had no idea they were blocked. I'll check it out and change it. Thanks for letting me know.
What made you buy a M500 over other planes? I'd love to know more about your selection process. Congratulations on the new plane!
Excellent question. I was transitioning from a Cessna t206. The main things I wanted in the new plane was air conditioning, NXI, and a GFC700 auto pilot. I was first considering a Cirrus SR22t. However, getting in and out might be an issue for our dog. Yes, we are planning on flying with our dog. In looking at the piper m350, it seemed to have everything we were looking for. E went four a demo flight and wow. Pressurization is a game changer. I was set. Doing more research, it seemed that the PT6 was the way to go off you can afford it. Extremely reliable, fast, and has reverse to name a few advantages. We scraped to gather our pennies and decided to go that route. One thing to keep in mind is insurance. It is hard to get and very expensive four a LOE time pilot with no turbine time.
@@nodouttaviation2817 Yup on the insurance. I went from a Piper Saratoga to a Cessna Conquest II, twin engine turboprop. I had 7 hours of multi and zero hours of turbine time when I took possession. Needless to say, the underwriters wanted lots of training and it’s still expensive.
I like the still frame shot at the end, the I don’t know look! You’re ready for training! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the note. Training is in two weeks and I’m very excited and nervous.
@@nodouttaviation2817 understand that, I go to an initial training in April, I always get nervous but enjoy the training. Study as much ahead of time so you really can enjoy the training. Good luck!
Congratulations!! That's awesome. I would love to see a video of you getting into the left seat. I tried getting into one at Oshkosh a couple years ago and failed miserably. LOL! As one of the first 25 subscribers, I want a free tee shirt when you get famous like P1D. :-)
Hello and thanks for the comment. I will absolutely make a short video on getting into the left seat. To be honest, it isn't easy, it is tight up there. I saw a similar experience from PremierOne Flyer getting into a jet. Stay tuned. And yes, if this ever turns into something where I have T-Shirts, you will get one for free!
Knock out those hours, then enjoy!!
Yes, I can’t wait. March 2nd (trading start date) can’t come fast enough.
Thus was right when I was learning. Half you enjoyed it.
Too cool! I was born in Hollister, plan on one day visiting my family there in my Cherokee.
Too cool! Thanks for taking the time to show us a bird we might not get to otherwise see!
I'll start official training early March. I'll try and add more videos assuming they let me record the sessions.
So, you won’t fly it on your own until you completed training at flightsafety right? Do you need a certain number of hours with someone in the right seat monitoring?
@@cloudstreets1396 correct. Insurance requires 25 hours dual time and 40 hours total before I can carry passengers. I’ll be doing the training at Legacy in Arizona. SIM and in plane training.
@@nodouttaviation2817 - Is any of that training part of the purchase price from Piper?
@@cloudstreets1396 yes! The 4 day class is included. I’m adding 3 extra days to get more dual time hours.
@@nodouttaviation2817 - If you’re in AZ, let me know if you are looking for a partner. I’m ATP licensed and an airline pilot. So, I’m sure you’re insurance wouldn’t be affected.
Which one is the new owner? Congrats!
That's me on the left. The guy with all the questions and the one that doesn't know what he is doing.....yet! :)
@@nodouttaviation2817 what airplane did you come from? We are M600 pilots.
@@kevinkauffman248 I flew a 2004 Cessna T206h from 2014 until now. Great plane. Had a G1000 but no GFC700.

Looks like he targeted your car, because he didn't fold the next mirror. Guess he just hates Teslas. What's especially stupid is he's now made your car more dangerous for his fellow riders.
