Very slow and buggy

Useless phone, freezes all the time and takes forever to load any page or application. Says 8gb but runs like a 2gb phone. Brutal.

Guys dont get this phone it's awful. Details below 👇 I got this phone as it seemed like a good deal. 4 models up from my old TCL 10 pro, and offer from my provider for just £10 a month. I was optimising my outgoings. That's just about the only things it's been successful at. The camera is great at dealing with dark nights. BUT The lag is infuriating. It struggles to play videos on RUclips at over 15 frames per second. If you're listening to music, for some reason it doesn't deal with impact or being on the ground very well. So I'll put it down in the gym to do a set and my music cuts in and out and judders for about 3 mins before either stops having it's bitch fit. The lag / latency is everywhere. From inputting your unlock pin (I've had to wait ten seconds for it to register the second button press at times) to the keyboard keeping up with your typing. God help you if you're doing something on the phone and somebody messages you - then it really goes to shit. I had to lock the screen and walk away for a bit just for it to settle down. And I'm not running a matrix simulation from my phone. Literally just using it like any normal person. I feel like the intelligent extra 4GB Ram is a bit of a copout. I feel like I've only got four and the rest had been lost to the ether. My previous phone was 4 models back and it was amazing. Literally a 5 year old model is running better than this 3 week old brick. Get the 10 Pro - it's actually amazing. But this 505 model, man, you'd be better off carrying an old windows 98 desktop around with you 😂 It really does feel like maybe the guys at TCL were like "oh damn we made the older models too awesome, we can't keep this up financially, time to shit-ify".

Very slow phone but they given 8 gb ram it's a number game only. UI is too poor even you can't screen on and off by taping on at. Poor optimization.

The phone is ok but not great and it has poor software supoort.

I've got what I guess would be considered an "old" TCL 10 now. I love how it has curved sides to the screen. And I'd really miss that. The curved edges make swiping more pleasant. Does this model have the same? I can't quite tell

Ok so I'm using the TCL 305 and I love the phone had it 2 years now and love em high end for low cost I am upgrading to the 505 next year or there one down 503 which is smaller
