Buying Another 240sx in 2024
It's that time of year again! Time for a new car! Straight from '96 loaded with all the quirks, we got ourselves a not so new Nissan 240sx S14 Zenki to add to the fleet! It's surprisingly pristine in many areas and also shows all the signs you'd expect from an old 240sx or Silvia. Cracked dash and door panels, faded paint, and a few engine and suspension problems are right on par for the course of deaing with 90's Nissans. Nothing that can't be cleaned up, fixed, and enjoyed for more years to come. Would you dive into a 240sx build in 2024? How would you build this zenki? Let us know down below!

Finally Broke the Mark II - Crash Course in Fiberglass Repair
Просмотров 3424 месяца назад
After a late night drive on a backroad with a low boi body kit, it is inevitably time to get to work on fiberglass repair for the Toyota Mark II GX100. The OriginLabo Racing Line body kit took some damage and tried splitting in two, but luckily Origin Lab makes some decent quality fiberglass parts and it held together well enough to do some quick repairs and make it (almost) right again. We get...
Drift Trip To "Mexico" With The Boys - Drift Team Play In Traffic & Drift Team D-Bap
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.5 месяцев назад
We break away from the monotony of standard drift events and take a good ol' fashioned road trip in the drift cars to a spot out in "Mexico" where the Play In Traffic boys met up with Drift Team D-Bap and to shred some tires! The 1jz swapped s14 240sx did great all day with the only issues being caused by driver error and crashes. The Infiniti G35 coupe held up great all day, even the super low...
Mark II X100 Complete Rear End Refresh - Poly Subframe, Diff, & Knuckle Bushings, LSD, Arms & More
Просмотров 6815 месяцев назад
The Mark II X100 is finally getting the parts it needed to start performing the way it looks! The boring GX100 open differential was the first thing that needed to go. The worn out bushings and arms also weren't going to cut it when it came time to install an IS300 limited slip differential and axles in the Mark II. So, we decided to go with Xcessive Manufacturing poly differential and subframe...
Fall Line Drift Round 2 - The Perfect Drift Day @ Silver Dollar Motorsports Park
Просмотров 5336 месяцев назад
The boys pack their sh*t on the trailer and head back to Silver Dollar Motorsports Park for another drift event hosted by Fall Line Drift. With it being a colder, crispy day, we were able to hot lap as much as the packed line would let us and get all the seat time. It was as perfect of a drift day as you could ask for, all we had to do was change tires. We tried to throw in more tandem practice...
The Outsliders - Getting Back in the Streets - Play In Traffic
Просмотров 8157 месяцев назад
The boys get back to their roots and go back in the streets for some drifting! The 1jz swapped s14 and the simple seat time G35 take advantage of another rainy drift day opportunity and take it to the streets (in Mexico, of course) for some drift day practice. It's not all fun and games (yes it is), we make a few mistakes here and there and the seat time G35 has a small failure that dampers the...
Midpond New Year Drift Party - Go Drifting With Your Friends
Просмотров 4487 месяцев назад
This is a 27 minute video of what it's like to go drifting with your friends. The gang heads back to Midpond for New Years and of course, more drifty things. The two day drift party was full of surprises and broken parts, but we didn't let that hold us back from having a damn good time! The 1jz vvti swapped s14 did great and only had some issues with tires holding air, the rb25 swapped r32 skyl...
S14 240sx GKTech Sway Bar, Weld-In Power Brace & K-Frame Support, and Dual Caliper Hyrdo Install
Просмотров 3238 месяцев назад
The 1jz swapped S14 240sx is getting yet another deluxe treatment from GKTech, this time paired with some NRG Prisma Lab goodies too. We found a leaking fuel tank after the last drift event, so it was time to pull out the entire rear end (yet AGAIN) and give it a refresh. We replace the s14 fuel tank with a new (to me) replacement and while it's out give the underbody of the chassis some much n...
R32 Skyline GKTech Superlock Angle Kit Install
Просмотров 3168 месяцев назад
Jeff's R32 is back for an install of GKTech's Superlock angle kit! The GKTech Superlock kit includes a re-designed knuckle and lower control arm/tension arm combo to allow for better kinetic geometry and of course, more angle in drift. The install process was fairly involved and definitely requires a hydraulic press to get the wheel bearings and hubs installed onto the GKTech Superlock front kn...
Rainy Day Drifting Play In Traffic
Просмотров 13 тыс.9 месяцев назад
The boys make the most of a rainy day (in Mexico) and go play in traffic with some street drifting in the drift cars! The rb25det swapped r32 skyline and infiniti g35 simple seat time car get outside and drift their way around some curvy roads through the trees. It's full send from start to finish with only a few hiccups along the way. Days like these are what we build our cars for; having endl...

Taking it back to the track with this one! We head over to Silver Dollar Motorsports Park in Cordelle, GA to a drift event hosted by Fall Line Drift. First Drive in Four Years! Mike's S13 Hatch
Просмотров 6410 месяцев назад
After a fair bit of chasing loose ends, Mike's S13 Hatchback is ready for it's first drive in many years! There's always more work required than one would think to get a neglected old Nissan back on the road again. We tackled the cooling system, fuel system, braking system, and other little things but after it was all done, the S13 hatch was good as new! (kinda sorta) Now all that's left is to ...
1JZ S14 240sx is Ready for Grip! Fresh Suspension and Brakes
Просмотров 13811 месяцев назад
The 1JZ VVT-i swapped S14 240sx has been long overdue for some critical suspension components to get some love. We get a big shipment from GKtech USA to refresh the rear end of the s14 with a new rear control arm set, rear knuckle bushings, and rear wheel studs along with fresh SKF wheel bearings and EBC brakes/rotors. We perform a quick seal and fluid service on the G35/350z differential along...
Making Vented Hood and Fenders From Metal - Zenki S14 240sx
Просмотров 17511 месяцев назад
Ever wanted vented fenders or hoods but don't want to deal with fiberglass fitment and fragility? Same. So, I found a spare OEM S14 Zenki hood and fenders to cut up and add some vents of my own. The vented hood will hopefully help let some of the heat from the 1jz out and keep temps down. The vented fenders are mostly just for style, but should serve some bit of function as well. We get to keep...
Jeffs RB25 Gets a Refresh
Просмотров 104Год назад
It feels like we've been here before, only different.. We're back at it, pulling Jeff's RB25DET out of his Nissan Skyline R32. Both the engine and car were due for a subtle refresh and overall cleanup. Once the RB25 was removed, he made fairly quick work getting the Skyline engine bay cleaned up and resealed a leaky oil pan. A few more Vibrant Performance parts here and there, and it was ready ...

Everything Wrong With My New RHD Import, Toyota Mark II GX100
Where did you find the finned version? The covers i keep seeing are all smooth 😮💨
For all of you having trouble with the swap yall definitely doing something wrong. I just did it with no issues. I was concerned that i was going to run into issues since i ordered everything online but the only issue that i had was that the stock GX100 wheels won't fit at all after the brake swap 😂
So is it safe to assume most jzx parts would fit on the gx100, suspension and brakes etc
Love to commitment!
dude in the g needs a better alighment and too much crazy hands
Can you give me the part number. I also have a gx 100 and want to do a complete brake job front and rear.
I’m going to do this swap, good video, very educational!
Is it stupid to buy one with no motor for like 2k
Do you want to do my subframe
More videos of this car
Your boy in the RHD r32 skyline have an ID on the carbon surround for the radio/air con unit? Or anyone that might know 3:57
✅🔥
Excellent purchase! Instead of selling all my leftovers S14 parts, I'd love to find one this clean to build ...lol
no way you call yours jumba too! where'd you find the clears?
it was nice to finally find a video of a Mark II with the racing line kit, it was so hard for me to find pics or video of it in white! It was helpful to understand how my next bodykit can look like 😄
めっちゃかっこいいですね👍
yeah "daily"
Strawberry banana
Delicious, very high up there in my list too.
I want one 😭
Keep your eyes on the prize and you'll get one some day. Maybe even three! Lol
If you paid less than $6000 you got blessed
I must've bought this from a priest because it was definitely a blessing! Lmao
Can i ask u what gearbox do u use?
Skyline is running a stock rb25 box and the infiniti is running the stock cd008
Really needed this thanks a ton
Glad it helped you out!
Great content guys
Is gx model subframe same as jzx models ??
There's a bushing support that tourer v subframes have that the rest of the models don't, but otherwise, yes, they are interchangeable
Bruhh if I bring down my 240 could we hit this spot? This is dopeee
We've been trying to get another drift day figured out, we just have to get a few things with the cars sorted out. Feel free to holler if you do make it down this way though!
@@PlayInTraffic will do that’d be dope
I just broke my gx90 rear knuckle and am kinda stuck on replacements if you can help with some of the knowledge you already have I’d much appreciate it!
Unfortunately as far as I'm aware, the x90 and x100 rear knuckles are only interchangeable with each other. Could try and look on yahoo auctions Japan for some maybe.
looks great man, do y’all have an instagram?
Thanks, my IG is @dr.jankenstein. we don't have a team IG yet, its something I've been needing to set up for a while now though.
Nice, looks great will modify mine too.
black with gold accents
That fiberglass face hahaha
Gotta be one of the most universally hated materials lol
🔥🔥🔥
Bro tell ur friend were he got the front bumper and rear and side skirts on the g35
He got them off of Facebook marketplace but we're pretty sure they're JP fiberglass parts
Any problems with outer lights. I installed mine and when I tap the brake pedal the right light goes out and also the LEDs are dimmer on the right
I didn't have any issues that I came across, but I also ended up trading the car after a little while.
Where in FL is this? I'm in Orlando and would love to hit this spot up haha
Florida?? Nahhh man, Mexico! It's in the title and everything! Lmao.. kinda out towards PCB so it'd be quite a drive for ya unfortunately
@@PlayInTraffic Ah damn! No biggie then! Looked like a sick spot.
damn it boi!
Messed with the bull, got the horns lol
Dude, I had SUCH a good time. You guys were awesome. I didn't realize how pale I was til I saw this footage. 11/10. How's that tie rod BTW
The tie rod is still bent 😅 I have the replacement now, just been kind of lazy if I'm being honest. Maybe I'll fix that today.. lol
lot days are the best days
Indeed they are! Vibes were immaculate all around. Can't wait for the next one
good shit!!!!
We'll have to plan some skids the next time you make it down south!
Buddy in the g has some panic hands lmao
What specs are the front wheels? And did you roll your fenders?
I'm running an 18x9.5 +22 squared setup. I recently rolled the fenders to go a little bit lower, but didn't really have a huge need to roll in the front. Rears definitely needed rolled to get lower with that wheel size.
Always a Good Video!
Toyota parts always hit. Them dang Japanese engineers designing things to never die.
90s toyota will forever be unrivaled in reliability. Like the Nokia of the automobile world haha
what sway bar are you using
None in the rear and I somewhat recently installed a GK high clearance sway bar up front. I was running no sway bars at all for a few years though.
Was the steering wheel shaking at above 60mph?
Honestly it's been quite a while and i've unfortunately sold the car. The whole front end was a mess when i got that car though. the bushings definitely helped, but the wheels that i had put on were bent a bit, so it vibrated at higher speeds anyways. It looked good though! lmao
Decent driving but responsible. Not overdoing it and watching out for traffic is what I like to see. But bro in the G35 looks like he having a battle with his car lol
We try to keep it safe and get away from public areas as much as possible. If we wreck, we only want it to be our own cars damaged. The G35 setup could use some refinement for sure, we'll keep improving it as time goes on! Thanks for the support!
Hey mate can you give me a part no of the calipers pls???
Use serialnine friend
I had gotten them off a friend's car instead of ordering them from somewhere. There's quite a few websites to help look up part numbers. I believe toyodiy is a decent one.
Tailights link??????
I got them off a FB marketplace deal, so unfortunately don't have a good link. They're only available to order from the manufacturer if you order like 200 sets or something. It's a shame.
My favorite part is when you make the car do the slidey thing 🧙♂️
i'm working on my next trick, slidin' in them sheets!
@@PlayInTraffic you can slide into my DM anytime. I think it means double mattress. 😘
I have the same car but i'm having trouble getting the Bodykit, where did you get yours?
Mine had come on my car when I traded for it. I know believe Koruworks or TFworks (I forget which) often imports in kits for them. Otherwise, there's companies that will buy a body kit for you in japan and ship it via container which helps cut down cost quite a lot. Or, keep an eye out on FB marketplace. I see them pop up every now and then.
Hey man what year was the is300 calipers? I ordered a 2004 is300 front caliper and didnt end up fitting
I got my calipers from orielly's auto parts and sadly didnt match up with my gx100 chaser
That's strange. There was another guy that commented and had a similar issue. I got mine off my buddy's '02 I believe it was. But, '01-'05 should all be the same. I've read on a ton of forums that said it'd fit and had no issues myself. I had reference part numbers for the knuckles between GX Mark IIs and Crestas and found they were the same part number, but the X105's (awd) had a different front knuckle part number. Is yours awd by chance? otherwise, i'd say maybe it was a mis-labeled part from the store?
