It is dangerous touted as truth. It is anything but.
Love this interview i have a new understanding of POV and cinema language
I'm very late to the party as I just finished the whole thing recently. I can't remember a show that touched me this deeply before. The acting is phenomenal and I found myself laughing with tears streaming down my face at the same time. The definitely struck gold with this one and I can't wait to see more, bravo!
KEVIN!!! Kevin… Kevin… Lol
My old music teacher was from Romania and he was there. He told me how that experience changed his life and his way to see music. He told me about BS&T and now I got a good collection of their records. Great band! And Bobby produced a young Jaco Pastorius too, if I remember well! Ciao from Italy.
One of the most beautiful, authentic thing that I have seen in many years. It moved me to my core. I come from central Europe, it made me realize how detached we are from real values in life, from being human. The boy is so beautiful, so innocent, I felt it was a privilage to have an insight to his states of heart, his feelings. There is such an unfair stereotype of the Middle East in my part of the world, I am ashamed to admit that I needed this movie to be reminded that we are all the same, not only in general, in details too. And the ease with which he shows affection to his wife and children? Wow. Not easy to find in here.
Loved Julianna on the good wife
I watched the show two days ago, and I still can’t get it out of my head. Emma and Dexter felt so real to me-I loved them both and rooted for them through every twist and turn. Their story was beautiful, messy, and so deeply human. But Emma’s death completely shattered me. It was so unexpected and heartbreaking, yet it gave the story an even deeper meaning. This show is such a powerful reminder of how fragile life is and how important it is to cherish the people we love. Seeing that so many others feel the same way has been comforting-it shows just how deeply this story has touched people. I’ve been watching RUclips interviews with the cast and creators, and finding new content about Emma and Dexter has really helped me process it. How has everyone else been coping with that emotional ending?
This is an excellent interview. Great questions and answers. Thank you so much and congratulations again Irene Taylor on this crucial documentary.
Wonder what Fennel's zodiac sign/sun sign is! Her name is so shiny! Emerald Fennel! Green and shine! 🤩😊
seeing celine sick is not nice i hope and prayer she heels soon to good-wealth
First, I admit I have not been able to find this documentary, so I haven't seen it yet. However, I was a drummer in the 1960s in a heavy, what we called 'Underground Music' band. I was 17 when I first heard BS&T in 1968. By then, power bands like Cream and Hendrix were very popular, along with the more mellow Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (Young was part of them yet.) I got BS&T's second album and liked it a lot. I considered BS&T to have great musicians, but they should have not neglected the guitar, as Chicago proved with the incredible work of Terry Kath. Furthermore, I don't remember any talk among my peers about them being dupes for the government, and so we must reject them, and I was deeply involved with, pretty much all areas of the social youth at that time. They just seemed to fade off the scene, especially with Chicago coming out at the same time, and they were churning out one hit after another, totally dwarfing them. This is not to mention that after Spinning Wheel and You've Made Me So Very Happy, they really didn't produce much in the way of hits.
I am a fan just from watching this conversation. I will be waiting to watch this. Powerful.
🙌🙌🙌
Bravo! Two thumbs up!
Wow, stunning trailer, certainly invites to watch the film as the nicely driven interview does!
👏👏👏👍👍💙
Can't wait to see this film. Beautiful conversation. Thank you for sharing and for putting your hearts into this story.
Great interview ! Thanks !
Did that simp Cristalli already paid for Vito's sign which he destroyed at Dave Chappelle protest?
talk about bad timing; remember the State Dept sponsorship of Dizzy Gillespie's big band in Europe & Latin America .. soft power .. bad timing in '70, civil rights, counter-culture & behind Iron Curtain .. sheeesh. Gonna hafta get this doco!
A staged version of what was supposed to be season 3 will appear at the Kennedy Center next year.
TAYLOR 💙
Amazing interview ❤️🤍💙
This movie was nominated for an Emmy award. We shall find out on Sept. 15, 2024.
There are many unique features to RWARB that keeps taking people to watch and rewatch and never lets the film become old or seem hackneyed. This is a film of hope and love and social progress, made with heart and love by all concerned. That shows and will never date. But since this film was made, the world has become a darker place, stealing and threatening freedoms and enlightenment. So as time goes on RWARB becomes a lighter, brighter and ever deeper beacon of hope and love and light in the world. And this is a flame to be held and cherished and fanned ever brighter. For this film is heart and hope and humanity, a unique expression of inspiration and joy and of a kinder and wiser future.
Looks intriguing. Want to watch it.
I really enjoyed the doc on Amazon. But I think it's too bad that the band doesn't seem to appreciate their place in history and freedom in the eastern block. Maybe they gave up some fame and fortune, but they really helped set people free. Abbie Hoffman or those a-holes at Rolling Stone never did anything for anyone but themselves. Many gave their lives over there and accomplished less. They should be proud, not bitter, and I'm a little disappointed that they don't seem to see that. Dealt a bad hand then they chose to show a little courage. They stood tall when everyone around them stumbled. But tell me how a dumb putz like David Wild keeps showing up spewing high school inanities in these rock docs. Man, this guy never has anything to say except the obvious.
I really enjoyed this interview & I love how passionate she is about the whole project and the story.
I so wish there was a season 3. The writing, the cast, the orchestra and everyone else involved, just top notch!
This is delightful! I really hope there can be more of the show somehow!
Every episode was so good! The acting was superb, cinematography, sound design and production quality was amazing. I hope they film another season! 🎭
❤❤❤ congrats!! I saw 5 times
Matthew, I hope you will put Rafael Luna in the sequel. You could get Ramon de Ocampo to play him. Ramon is just gorgeous.
love this interview and loved the series!
What a great cast!! But also, what a great interviewer!! Kept the conversation flow going and clearly researched some great questions to ask everyone! Thanks Scott!!
“We got lucky with this whole cast.” You so fricken' did! Love every one of them. I've watched this film 5 times!
It's actually incredible that it wasn't just in the film's script that Alex was boycotted in the casting of the actors. Henry being the priority in the lineup is crazy where he is so far from Alex's real story where he narrates the book from beginning to end nothing we know about Henry is not something Alex was interested in knowing or was in his presence and we go back to the film with all the changes Alex literally made and if we look at Henry in the film, he has all the actions identical to the book, even scenes that were Alex's were given to Herry, it's noticeable now. you Matt put a target on Taylor's back by making all these baseless changes and what you did to Alex spilled over onto the actor even though he had no guilt about it he was just doing his job and what was requested by law and the script was weak and meaningless luck wow, at least TZP is a lover of the book and supported Alex in the film from beginning to end even with scenes taken from his matt ass. I sincerely hope that it learned from its damn mistakes and gives a worthy sequel because thinking that it did a good job here is insane. and you don't want to publicize the deleted scenes because these scenes would probably be scenes that would give a new look to the film without boycotts for one of the protagonists I will never forget that you changed the palace scene leaving Henry identical to the book and Alex with a script taken from your ass and where was that what most attacked tzp due to your mistake and stupidity
What are you going on about? 😂😮💨
@@othfan96 Fair treatment or do you disagree with everything I said?
Now I need to go back to the book, I think that you are saying the book was written principally from “Alex’s” point of view and the “Henry” was given lines and scenes that in the book Alex narrated. I missed the boycott? What the Actors Strike? When adapting a book you have to bring a book to life visually, smoosh some narratives chop some sub plots etc. I don’t think there was any hidden agenda but designed to elide scenes with Alex. Taylor and Nick are both so good with a great support cast, the chemistry and interplay is fantastic. we have all seen movies adapted from print that we know aren't as good as the book but in this case the story came to life, vibrant and funny and somehow despite the deep fantasy aspect (Sorry Meagan and Harry) real.
Wow...what nonsense!
@@JamesJones-tt9sf Read again what I wrote. Alex went through all the changes in his story, Henry is all there, so you don't see this as a boycott says a lot, doesn't it?
This interview shows once again why Matthew, Nick, Taylor and the whole fantastic crew need to win lots of awards for RWRB! It's a masterpiece!❤🤍💙
Mathew, Gongrats to the success of your debut film…❤
What a delightful and informative interview. Warm hearted, honest, and humorous. Looking back, it reveals what a milestone in movie making RWARB has become, both from the PoV of creatives and audiences alike. This interview shows many things; what a thoroughly nice man Matthew Lopez is - and that nice guys sometimes win. That heart and hope wins out over prejudice and nit picking, that this is a film made by a team of talented and properly motivated creatives and gave a showcase to some wonderfully talented actors at the top of their game. And who all deserve, for the most human and humane reasons, as well as cinematic ones, to win every award going.
❤️🤍💙 amazing interview. Thank you
What a wonderful interview!! I could hear Matthew talk for hours! And yeah despite all the "what if this, what if that" the movie is perfect as it is, and I can't wait for the sequel! 🥰❤️🤍💙
Ditto - hours and hours, not just of hearing him but ALL the discussion about this movie.
lovely interview. i will never get tired of hearing matthew and this cast and crew talk about red white and royal blue <3 emmy nom incoming!
They both did an amazing job. Fallout as an IP is a property that could easily be badly mishandled. Particularly the balance between drama, action and comedy. Too much or too little of any of those three elements and the result wouldn't feel like Fallout. The fact that they managed to find and maintain such a tricky balance was nothing short of impressive. Greatly looking forward to what they bring to season 2. I was also very impressed by the fact that they were able to make some of the supporting characters more interesting than you might expect (I was genuinely blown away by how much I liked following Norm's PoV).
Any idea when season 2 drops in the states? Absolutely adore these two! (Fell in love with Patrick’s work from offspring 😊)
i hear that the writers rooms need to be well thought out. reafirm the basics for solid stories. find it AhSham if anyone has to over edit their own thought process. no reason to cheap out and pay extra on the otherside
(crickets joke) this is the only geneva convention ive heard of.
the plotline is almost to be modern like in the 16th century because these kind of things is still happen in this modern world but that is interesting because this Jacobean era is not famously told in history eventhough it was dramatize in this series, all evidence point to that. Jacobean era history should be told more because even though it was only around 20+ years, a lot of things happen during this time like the Shakespeare literature. The acting in this series also is phenomenal and the production value is very high. STARZ should promote is series more for the Emmy's because it deserved some recognition. I really hope Sky will do same for BAFTA next year.
This was great! Thank you!
"bower bird it" wow
Must watch 👍👍
