I've had a Carveboard for aobut 20 years now. Very niche piece of equipment. You need just the right slope to maintain speed, but not so steep that you rocket down the hill. Definitley NOT a downhill board, as you found out! Nothing really beats the surf feel of it though when you find the right grade.

58 and starting to skateboard. I added a D30 pad to my Bodyprox tailbone area. Got it all but upgrading to the Triple Eight Knee pads and adding ankle sleeves. Thanks.

20,000 miles is really nothing when it comes to longevity. If I buy a car I always want to know how long it lasts. Edmunds says this vehicle is of low quality.

OMG I didn't knew. I've been on the fence about this van because despite being a great solution to my needs I'm feeling the pull from mainstream towards SUVs but after learning this I think I'll pull the trigger on the decision. Thanks for the information and the review.

How does the wheelbase affect different people for example if you have an 18 inch and that’s suited for your stance vs me who has a stance of 16 inch and get a Surfskate with 18 inch wheelbase? How would it affect my experience?

What wheelbase do you recommend for a newbie on the CX? Shorter or longer?

Didn't know you were injured as I have watched some of your videos, so great you are back. I'm 64 and surfskating with my daughter who has a slide surfskate. I had a CX copy but didnt like the deck, so now I am thinking of the C5 as I am very tentitive in the skate park but want to improve. Maybe the lower lighter setup will help, say Santa Cruz Screaming hand with C5. Whats your thoughts on this? I don't think wheelbite will be an issue at my level. Maybe that you have come back and are using a C5 answers my question.

Welcome back. I know mentally it is hard when you can't do what you want to do, especially after really getting into a solid progression. Don't worry or be hesitant when you skate. You will over correct. Just skate and trust yourself and don't overdo it. Stay Rad Sir.

Ordered the same deck for the hardware. it was cheaper than buying just the c5 trucks, wheels and hardware kit just waiting for a braille skateboard blank deck then planing on learning to tricks i am 39

Just saw this Snogo and I love to try it, I have a bad right knee meniscus and ACL just about gone so Sking is out of the question, this TriKe-looking thing may be the answer, where are you it absolutely beautiful slopes? I dont have any experience skiing, I watch a lot of skiing on TV however

Thanks for this video. I want to try a surfskate but have been overwhelmed by the different reviews and opinions on the best trucks. This video made me decide on the C5 because i come from a traditonal skate background and have never surfed in my life.

Nice review! I'll have to try those out... A few years ago I switched to wearing merino wool year round. Warm in the winter and seems to be less sweaty in the summer.🤷‍♂️

Wrist guards is something I can't skate without. Then it's helmet and knee pads. As we get older, we need more and more padding everywhere!

SUPER helpful video! Thanks for making it. Currently considering either the C7 or CX for flatland pump-cruise riding. I’ve got other longboards and skateboards for other types of riding. My reason for my interest in this one is getting that surfy feel and being able to easily generate speed from pumping instead of pushing. Definitely leaning towards the C7. i live near Toronto. do you think i should get the mte 2 for the winter, i walk like a mile or so to catch a bus, will it hold up in the snow or will my feet get too cold?!

This is what I am leaning towards but being beg/int longboarder, non-surfer some people tell me C7 too difficult getting started. This right here is exactly what I envision instead of tricks and bowls. Thoughts on learning curve with greenroom C7 or CX?

Thinking of getting the MTE3. I live in Las Vegas and get snow in the mountains nearby so getting them mainly as a winter hike boot, not a daily walker. My only concern is, will they be too warm to wear say in the summer? Or will the insulation keep them cool in the summer and warm in the winter?

I can relate. Started surfskating on a Carver CI Mod Pod with C7 truck - absolutely great. Then got a Carver Aipa Sting swallowtail with CX truck - speed and great performance in the bowl. Then I got a Carver x Santa Cruz screaming hand with C5 truck - by far the best on the Whitezu surfskate ramp I surf in France and the most versatile board. Pick one for a road trip: the C5.

Dude, u lost me with that Cal 7 and the pos LAYBACK! The Ant And deck is ok, but I prefer the black and blue flight deck. Next U will be putting 1 independent truck on the back and a Paris truck in front
