I have 3 Advent Boxes, 1 is weekly from my LYS, II have one from Ruby a Roses and one from A Homespun house. This is my first year buying advent calendars and I see why people get them every year. A little yarny treat everyday is amazing. I want to accumulate more Christmassy yarn so I can make a bunch of Christmas socks for the years to come

I am knitting 7 pairs of socks for family members. I am on my 5th pair -second socks. I have 2 more pairs to make.

I’m working on a pair of socks for my son and possibly hoping to get a second pair done as well. Also making him a pair of fingerless mitts and a crocheted giant octopus and uh hum….hes 29 years old but the most knit worthy/crochet worthy person I know!

Have you ever tried the Butterfly Shawl by Marin Melchior? It’s the one project that I can’t put down! Have never been bored while working on it ! I think it helped cured my cast on itis!

I love your yarn/book vlogs and felt like I needed to chime in on the classic lit/politically incorrect comments in period books discussion. I'm South Asian-American and growing up I loved classic British literature, like The Secret Garden. I went back to re-read it recently and - oh boy, it was rough. There was so much casual racism towards South Asians which I didn't really pick up on as a child but I definitely noticed and felt hurt by as an adult. But I think it's still a valuable read, for myself and as a discussion point for my daughter - this was a real way of thinking for a very long time and no amount of pretending is going to make that go away. It's better to see it, acknowledge it, discuss it and how it impacts those who it may represent, rather than cover it up or change the language and sanitize it and pretend it was never that way. It was an ugly time in history, and we have many other ugly times in history that need to be pointed at if we want to improve and move forward.

I thought that was ambitious but what do I know…. You are awesome I knit in the car a greatly deal. I started doing socks two at a time toe up, only because I am afraid of not doing the second sock, how do you accomplish that?

I love to knit socks. I am 81 years old and retired. My budget is tight so I can’t afford lovely good sock yarn. Any bargains you see, like Michael’s, I would love knowing about them. I feel so lucky to have found your blog. WOW. I can’t work on large projects. I spend so much time at the hospital with my daughter who is very ill. Only small craft projects are allowed in patients’ rooms because of infection. Your daughter is precious your information is awesome. Thank you. I will follow your blog.

Great video, love all of your socks. Another idea for the tiny socks: make lots of them from scraps of socks that you've knit and string into a garland on a crochet chain! How cute and personal would that be?
