I'm glad the narration is finally working! 👍
Bro i was trying to find a video to fix the power on button, but i just witnessed a murder.😅
Hello, sorry for the inconvenience, can you tell me what model the monitor speakers are? I need to get them to fix mine, I have the same monitor
Sorry, I do not have that information. 😕
The speakers of mine on the back say: S U 6633-001 and a sticker that says: S U 4Ω 2W H13-J by the way. I cut the speaker cables, made a hole in the cover of the monitor and glued some larger speakers to the back of him. a very big difference in sound
The SU 6633-001 is the model number, I'm thinking that if your external speaker setup sounds better you should be good with the added bonus of not having to use an electrical plug to power a separate amplifier as most external speakers have. Great Job! 👍
Cool vid. I'm currently working on a sleeper with my old sr5000 case and trying to recall if it had washers, doesn't look like it from this video. Do you remember seeing any at the back of the motherboard?
There are no washers. However there was that support block that is seen laying in the case when I took the board away.
@@leftybickel9877 Alright thanks, the general advice i've seen is to use the washers if the case supplied it but since the case is dated and i didn't keep the old board i didn't have a clue. the support bracket for the cooler will included with the new motherboard. Thanks again.
Thanks good video
I’m doing the opposite, I’m restoring one lmao and let me tell you those rubber belts NEVER age well😂
Indeed! You'd think they would engineer those belts to last longer than 40+ years! LOL
Played with one!
At one time I used one to make music mix tapes.
Nice pieces there good job
Thank you kindly
fixing the TV would be nice to see, I just got one of these it works fine but I want to re-paste the voltage regulators and take a look at the capacitors, both on the power board.
Thanks for the comment, I will start to focus more on repairing these televisions that I find. By no means am I an expert on repairing them, but being a novice with a general idea of how they work I can demonstrate that with minimal tools and patience along with research they can be repaired.
Nice kerosene heater
I've had it for a number of years now, it works really well.
Watched the whole video with my wife. Good job lefty.
Thank you.
14:56 that is not nothing, that's the laser and lens system that is the heart of a laser printer. The laser was totally worth money to hobbyists, the gears could be sold to robot makers.
I stand corrected, I really had no idea that the laser could be repurposed, I was once told that the motors as well, being that the movements are very precise. For me however, to warehouse parts, finding all the specs for listing and questions just isn't within my scope to wait for a buyer.
I'm glad you destroyed+recycled the transformer; they are EXTREMELY dangerous when powered-up, and several people have died using these beasts for creating fractal art.
Yes, I've seen people making welders out of them, that don't have any adjustments only on and off. I've done some dumb things in my life, that is not one.
@@leftybickel9877 And I would have done that, except I already have a stick-welder which has the adjustable slug to limit the current. BTW, I had no idea there were aluminum windings on the transformer. I always assumed all-copper.
@@gregebert5544every so often I get skunked like this one, usually I nip the windings with my cutters before breaking them open, I was assuming 🙄 and we both know where that leads. 😕 I've had a stick welder for years, but I quickly learned it's not good for auto body work and mig welders were not in my budget at that time.
Theres magnets in there? Dammit. Time to stop scrapping hard drives!
The ones in hard drives have their uses where these don't fit. 👍
Well, they aren't the insanely-powerful neodymium magnets that are typical in hard drives. But they are handy around the workshop. Also, the magnetron magnets are pretty brittle. I dropped one on the floor and it broke into a few pieces, but they do stick together.
dont touch pink material : THORIUM
The thorium and tungsten is in the filament on the inside of the tube, beryllium oxide is dangerous and in the insulators and inert unless disturbed by scratching or broken. Things that should be pointed out in the video, I do say that I can see why some choose to leave them alone.
Its safe unless its broken.
@@alch3myau as far as the thorium yes, the beryllium oxide is inert until it gets scratched and becomes airborne, it seems to be a very resilient material, just being careful when working around it I'm convinced that it's fine. However I tend to only open the end with the copper in it and leave the rest in the machine. The little bit of aluminum isn't worth the risk of pulling it out.
You should study electrical engineering instead of electrical disposal.
true, but In a present years - it is easier to make a disposal product, instead of repairable one. For real. Who needs a proper engineer, when it comes to a broken disposal device? That is crazy. We need to restate some guys in our higher society!
I try to learn as much as I can in many areas, some things are useless, some helpful. I used to build my own computers as a hobby back before plug and play. It was more like plug and pray then patch to make it work. I guess this is my way of getting back at this technology for causing me so much frustration. 😬
There's just no value in old CD/DVD drives or hard drives as there's no demand for them. They're more useful recycled.
@@krypton1260 Very true! As soon as they came out with the thumb drive, DVD discs couldn't complete with storage or speed.
@@nikostalk5730 the only way it is feasible is repairing in the industrial and commercial sectors, or high-end consumer audio products. It is sad that we live in a throwaway society because they feel the need for the latest greatest gadgets.
Thank you so very much, Lefty Bickel for being my Lifesaver. I've been searching in vain for the location of the Hard Drive, to dismantle it from this old PC. Luckily, I'd stumbled on your Valuable Video and followed exactly what you did. Now, I can breathe freely. 💜
I'm glad it helped! 👍
ITS A MURDER
It was picked up as scrap, the parts had no reuse value other than for recycling.
I have been looking for where to buy this in Nigeria but I can't find it. What other alternatives do you suggest please?
I'm not very familiar with where to get parts, maybe eBay if it's in your country. I searched for LED television parts and many sites have parts listed but are out of stock or the prices are high for outdated technology. I've found other parts for things by searching the brand and part number. I hope this helps.
Buddy You are breaking the all parts of this monitor 😂
I picked it up as scrap. 😃
Thanks for the tear down video. I have an issue with my 7460 fan going super fast when gaming. Any suggestions?
Your CPU and graphics are working hard to keep up with the games requirements, my thoughts are if it's not lagging or crashing it should be fine, increasing you memory may help, I'm thinking that it will take away some of the taxing from the swap files. My computers fan sounds like a jet getting ready for takeoff when compiling videos
Change ur thermal paste. I did the same and it helped
If you like games, time to get a newer more robust build.

The carnage!
what screw type do i need to do that
I was using a Phillips and flat head screwdrivers. The tool I'm using is a 6 in one screwdriver.
3 grades with the bulk of the gold in the second. Too slow, painfully so! I realise you are new to this but all that work is just not necessary. Good luck!
Neat ball mill 😊
good one bro and ths
Meh I just pull up on the lower with one hand and get a floor jack under it with the other.
This will help me quite a bit. 2001 Durango. Just got it and there were drop springs put on it. I want her back up to the original ride height.
Wow. Thanks for that. I always did it the hard way.
How long do your saw blades last. Ive seen other people use plasma cutters and it cost them new tips every 100 compressors. But it's $600 new in Australia for a cheap one I will be trying your way one
I get Avanti blades they cost about 2USD each, and I get 5-6 compressors cut sometimes more, the tall compressors are tough on the blades. Sorry it took so long to reply, I just noticed this comment. Curious to know if it worked out better than the method you were using.
Most twine is brittle and breaks. Making it impossible to be "as simple as that".
Wow, that works so well it makes me wonder why so many people cut it off piece by piece. Great tip. Thank you
Why bother removing twine ,it only gets burnt off in the melt.
Some yards get their panties in a bunch if they see too much twine in the load.
@@leftybickel9877 that’s because they will find any bloody excuse to pay less money out, can you see any one taking the twine off in a yard so they get more for it ? Not a chance , I’ve been in the scrap trade for over thirty years and the number two wire gets chucked in with the ninety eight per cent copper tube with soldered joints all in the same melting pot .
हमें काम मीलेगा
I'm sorry, I can not translate this. 🙁
I actually cant find a video anywhere on how to get these springs off.
Sorry for the very late reply, once you've detached the upper ball joint from the spindle arrange the spring compressor as in the video and compress the spring, once it's compressed enough push the entire spring up and swing the bottom end out first. The trick is to make sure your threads of your tool goes up though those openings.
Nice 👌👌
Great video bud.....need to replace the springs on my Dakota aswell...is it necessary to disassemble the control arm., or can I just remove the springs by using the spring compressor ? Thanks
Best bet is to just disconnect the upper control arm from the hub assembly as he did
👏👏👏🇧🇷
That's BS. most motors are dipped in a varnish/shelack to seal the windings after the twine is secured. This will not work over 90% of the time.
thank you i want to take the airbags off my front end it's been a pain having them
Oh boy, looks tedious...I need to make a video about how I do it. I process about 20 of these in 15 mins, although mine might be a little different.
i just bolt cutter off the lever... and get clean
No gold? Lol.
Fools gold
Awesome
Perfect! Exactly what I needed! :)
I'm glad the info was helpful. 👍
haha, isn't that always the case eh, as soon as the camera rolls things get stubborn ;) Good tip bud, i'll give it a shot next time i work on some motors :)
