Wow great content

Rod tip will pop off broken bit with a heat source. eg. lighter. If your lucky and rod break is clean, can be instantly reset back on while hot and old glue will hold enough for you to continue fishing. Obviously will need more attention later, but at least will get you back in the game on the day. I often carry a lighter, small pliers, small piece of wet & dry sand paper and a roll of insulation tape in the tackle bag. All have multiple uses when out fishing but definitely come in handy for on location repairs.
