Drayton Manor - Sunday 13th October 2024 #draytonmanor #themepark
Join us as we visit Drayton Manor for the first time since 2022!
Of course the reason for our visit was to check out the changes to Shockwave, which is now known as The Wave & is also now a sit down coaster! The other draw to the park is the brand new coaster Gold Rush!
We had a lovely day at the park and look forward to returning again soon!

It is a beautiful theme park and one of our favourites! It's so hard to pick a favourite ride at the park as we loved everything but I would say our Top 3 would probably be Flying Dutchman, Joris & Fata Morgana x

As someone who visits Pleasure Beach on an almost weekly basis and was there on the day of your visit, I both agree and disagree with this review on the whole but I have to say it's very contradictive! At the beginning you say the visit "wasn't very good at all", "an experience to say the least" and that the operations were really poor. However, you then go on to praise operations on many of the start attractions such as Icon and Big One, only making a few small criticisms such as regarding Rev. I agree with your points but to say that operations on the whole were bad seems a bit overkill. Big Dipper is on reduced capacity because there have allegedly been problems with one of the trains. As for Nash, I'm not sure why 4 trains aren't in operation at the moment but we can only hope this changes soon! Your points regarding EasyPass also confused me, as you initially said you'd rather they revert back to having all queues up the ride exits, then proceeded to criticise Big Dipper's EasyPass queue for being triggering because it's up the exit? You definitely made a fair few good points but I am qui8te confused by the overall message you're trying to convey. You initially make it out as if you had an awful day before then going on to give a review implying that overall, you had a good day. Anyways, I hope the latter is the case and that you enjoyed it. 😃 Personally, I thought it was one of the best days of the season.
Regarding easy pass - if a que is a long you wouldn’t go and stand in it if your easily triggered - for example if I see a long rap que I wouldn’t go it and would go back another time ! I hate the whole merging with speedy pass - like fastrack and rap it just doesn’t work x This is also the same with Drayton manor they merge easy access with fast pass 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
This is what we mean. As mentioned our group was ok but we do think the easy pass system could be made a lot simpler. Just our observations & thoughts on our day x

I really rated ghost train back in April ! And was accessible so even better ! The middle section with the wheelchair was a bit of a hassle and cofuffle lol as had to barge past everyone but other than that was good !
It's a great attraction and the staff that work on there are so helpful and accommodating 😀
