    The last mass market Ford cars. I find it hilarious that "climate change" brainwashed Democrats are buying lower MPG SUVs rather than union produced domestic cars. They're all clot shotted now, so it's pointless discussing this with brain dead zombie blue voters.

    Great video. I’m also one of the few who likes this generation of Taurus. The design maybe controversial but it’s different than the boxy cars from this era. I did own a ‘97 GL, in green with a green interior. It definitely was unique that I first hated but grew to love. I was lucky to find a Mercury Sable at the junk yard that had the same green interior but with green leather power seats w/lumbar that I was able to swap them over and have the power seats functioning. Added the faux “wood” trim from around the radio and door panels and just made the interior a little different. Definitely had some great memories with it during my early to mid 20s.. I got it when it had 195k miles and was able to get it up to 264k before it finally decided to die. Ended up getting a 2003 “Centennial” Taurus before trading that in for a 2012 Fusion witch is what I currently own right now though I am thinking of getting a 2016 or newer SHO for my next car.

    • @theinsiterofficial
      @theinsiterofficial 7 месяцев назад

      There are a few things I’d like for you to check before purchasing, mainly, if fluids have been kept up with and changed when needed. It’s a 25 year old car so expect the car to feel “loose”. I do believe if everything checks out, this is an amazing car and with proper maintenance can go much further than 100,000 miles. These cars are absolute tanks.

    Just a little FYI for you... Driving towards vehicles that have LED headlights really sucks! They are worse than high-beams. LED headlights should be illegal!!!!

    • @theinsiterofficial
      @theinsiterofficial 8 месяцев назад

      LED lights are fine when they are leveled properly. My LEDS are not extremely bright and are aimed slightly down to not bother drivers passing by. I understand the frustration with LEDS.

      I installed them, kit was from Amazon from a brand called Govee and it was very easy to install. The wiring can get a little tricky when trying to hide it but you just have to tuck some of it under either the carpet or some of the trim pieces.

    Even if i didn’t like this generation of Taurus especially compared to the previous generation. The 1998 facelift with the red rear index lights replacing the horrible looking amber ones, the new grill and these hubcap design seen on your car, even if minor detail changes did a miracle in improving the look of the car. This Taurus went from being ugly (1996-97 models) to be nice looking with only those tiny detail changes I mentioned. Interestingly for 1999 the lowest trim with these hubcaps looked even nicer than the more expensive trims with the ugly alloys! Your car actually looks better than a Taurus SHO. Drive safe and take care.

    They say these were ugly. I wasn't fond of the radio and hvac controls but I actually liked the exterior lines. When it's time to replace rear struts they're not fun but a little easier than camry or accord. The front struts..don't make yourself available to replace them. Find a shop.

    • @theinsiterofficial
      @theinsiterofficial Год назад

      Try checking under the carpet in the trunk area on the left side near the antenna. A while back I remember seeing additional radio components there when I did a complete detail, but mine isn't equipped with the CD carousel. But if yours is, it should be there. And yea, that owners manual is really a hit or miss with some of the information lol.
