made it to Dornoch a couple of weeks ago for the 2nd time, hit it to a foot for a 3 at 17 for my second birdy on the back 9. Beautiful day!!

That hole is sheer, simple genius

can somebody please explain to me why this is a good hole? everyone raves about Dornoch but this and the 8th... just dont sit very well for me.

The evening was to honour Paul Lawrie for his services to Scottish golf but the first thing mentioned (twice!) was the apparent need for a new clubhouse. In my opinion, very unprofessional.

If Bill was a talented amateur just coming up in high school with that swing today, golf instructors would be lining up to correct that swing with their advice. Considering his career, I think he did well all by himself with what he had.

Could be the greatest hole on one of the greatest courses in the world, one of the best and most scenic par four holes ever conceived and constructed. Aye, well done!
