I've used these boards and unfortunately they won't withstand cleaving meats or tenderizing with a meat mallet, they split apart quite easily.

After viewing this video I will never buy wood cutting board. They are have been contaminated with all different chemicals.

I'm sure dropping a 500 lb log on your foot wouldn't change your life dramatically.

They use a plant red juice that look like beetroots, a natural colorant and simply spray linen oil in the end. Some other use yellow juice obtain from curcuma.

The wood is probably Eucalyptus they now have very large plantations of this wood in the far east the size you see here is probably less than 20 years old.

If they would use a pressure washer to clean all the dirt and rocks off the outside of the logs the saw would stay sharper and cut better. It would only take someone a few minutes to wash these logs off and pay for itself by having the saw blades last longer.

These Vietnamese are great craftsmen . I guest that they are smarter than workers in the U.S.A. They are intelligent enough that they don't need OSHA watching over them to make sure that they wear protective clothing like boots , goggles , ear protection and other protection . It is amazing that they are still be alive !
