    Like to see a show about what is going on at DWR property on Twitchell Island and Sherman Island. There used to be a limited but quality public hunting program there for ducks, geese and pheasants, but closed to public last couple years. Worth looking into.....

    I've never been educated on this topic of this species. It interests me very much. I grew up on a reservation in Oroville and our wood duck habitat is prime. The population of wood ducks is huge on our reservation. I've seen wood duck boxes in our marsh but their very old and some have fallen with the trees they were attached to. This would be an awesome project for the tribe, to rebuild new boxes for the wood duck population.

    Do you really think talking about private land hunts, rice blinds and being "spoiled" really resonates with the majority of your member base? Upping the cost to apply for your CWA hunts hurt. That wasn't a good decision for areas you can only hunt until noon.

  • @tomehrich3573

    This is great - hopefully Grizzly Island WA will take advantage - there were many acres of upland burnt a few years back and as far as I can tell, it's mostly still unplanted dirt, versus prior upland habitat.

    • @grooveathon917
      @grooveathon917 3 месяца назад

      Great point. That refuge has so much potential to improve upland bitd/game habitat and nesting cover. Maybe then, the small game and birds will have a chance to survive and thrive, despite the large population of coyotes, skunks, raccoons, opossums and raptors there.

    Would love a Benelli SBE for my 1st shotgun, but keep seeing comments on the Internet and forums on how they seem to shoot high and to the left. Love the idea of the comfortech stock and the tried and tested inertia system, but I am now looking at a Beretta xtreme plus just because they say they shoot where you aim them. Any comments would be appreciated.

    You might suggest that someone interested in getting into hunting that they look for a Rod & Gun Club near them. These clubs today are always looking for new members and are willing to share knowledge. I joined the Alameda Rod $ Gun Club in 1998 for that reason. I've been able to hunt ducks, deer, elk, marlin and more. This particular club has been continuously ongoing since 1926.

    Liked and subscribed! 🎉 I have the XDI and the flocking held up great after one season. Also, the cut out almost makes the wing look like it's flapping at distance. It hasn't been a huge difference maker but works better than my last spinning wing duck in terms of effectiveness. They had a pretty big recall on the remote as well, just an FYI
