Check the battery connector. I had what I thought was a weak motor on my UMX and after some testing found that wiggling the battery connector while under full throttle drastically changed the speed.

Blade 200 QX BNF w updated firmware: F-mode switch on DX 8. 0 = stability white LED, 1 = stagility purple LED, 2 = agility yellow LED Throttle cut set to mix-hold switch. All 4 motors stop at once. Sports props installed for flips in stagility mode. 80% or above stick input for flips, loops and rolls. Timer set to 4 minutes assigned to 25% and above throttle input Re-bind to switch back to old flight modes ,add right down throttle input. To switch back to the updated flight modes add left down throttle input on re-bind. Goes through 2 binding procedures. To flip without diving it into the ground in stagility mode => 2 mistakes high => 80%+ stick input => give it negative pitch just after the flip. Current flying experience - Not able to flip it indoors or outdoors in stagility mode, yet. Crashed 3 times Upgrade options - 4050 gemfan props + Spin Brushless 3300kv motors from xtreme productions Pros: Powerful. 4 x brushless 3000kv motors make it great for throttle pumps. Should be a good collective pitch trainer. Fun in stagility mode Cons: Not a good camera platform due to jello effect and lack of gimbal resulting in crap video quality

Pros Faster and more agile than most small quads, Alias, CX 10 etc. making it more fun. 3 different flight modes depending on your skill level. Doesn't matter how you land. The gyros auto set your position to right side up. Switching dual direction motors. Plenty of power. LEDs are great for orientation - while they last. Incredible yaw rate. Faster than the Alias. 2 way flips with the push of a button in SAFE m0de trainer switch on DX 8. Flies great inside and outside in low winds. Flip to reverse direction with the press of a botton in EVO m0de => trainer on DX 8. Fun to fly. Motors are very easily replaced. First motor started to fail after 32 flights of mostly agressive flying. Low noise - quieter than the much smaller Cheerson CX 10!! Cons LEDs and resistors are badly soldered and go out over time, especially in Evo & 3D Agility modes. Frustrating due to the lack of orientation = more crashing. Props come off after mild crashes and harsh landings => fixable with small amount of foam tac on the bottom of the prop. Weak propellers. The props are flexible, but a hit to the tip of the prop, requires some transmitter trim if it can't be bent back into shape. Motor mounts snap off the main frame after crashing. The quads size and lack of interchangeable parts makes it difficult to mod/fix. Almost everything is built into the mainboard. Issues: Loose props. Left rear and front LEDs gone out. => Tried soldering, not enough room because of the leg/frame design. Glue won't work after the LED is loose. Fixes: Loose props glued on with foam-tac. Tried applying white nail polish to resistors =>LEDs still fail. Tried adding clear nail polish to LEDs => still fail. Hot glue works. Next attempt will try electrical paint. Motor issue: After 32 flights quad flies "in and out of trim" and seems underpowered. => New props fixed the trim issue => after 63 flights switched to 4 new motors => much better. Motor Mount/LG break: Motor mount/Landing gear break after ca 50 flights. => testing the tight rubberband/O-ring fix. => still good after 50 flights.
