George Kaiser Family Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to providing equal opportunity for young children in the community through investments in early childhood education, community health, social services, and civic enhancement.
Interview with Community-Based Doula Britney Stewart at Tulsa Birth Equity Initiative (TBEI)
Community Doula Program has not only halved preterm birth rates for Black mothers, but has also reduced instances of low birth weight among families in the program.
Since its creation in 2019, TBEI has supported 279 births and trained 140 community-based doulas with a commitment to equipping families in Tulsa to have healthy deliveries. Reducing maternal health disparities begins with restoring dignity and ensuring families are seen, heard and supported from early pregnancy to the months immediately following childbirth.

Construction crews have been busy at A Gathering Place for Tulsa over the last several months drilling large piers for the land bridges. In total, 190 piers will be drilled with the crew drilling at a rate of approximately four to five piers per day. #GatherTulsa
