I worked for acosta for 4 years. Heres what got a bunch of shit in the mail, and no matter how hard i tried. Never got a raise.
An experienced bread person working on commission can stock the bread rack four loaves at a time. An hourly worker does it one loaf at a time.

I was a merchandiser here while I was in college/university. It was pretty cool as a student, since I can schedule most of my own hours and I rarely worked weekends. Worked there for about 5 years and the only raise I got was when the minimum wage was increased 🙄 no raises for good performance or length of employment. No full time work either, unless it was the district lead merchandiser that was rarely available. Don’t go in thinking you can make this long term. Great for a student or if you need small part time work. Work is easy

so maybe I'm just dumb (probably am) but, is stocking generally a "overnight"(after store hrs) job? i tried applying for that postion at my local gorcery store & they said we only do overnight due to it being "in their customers way" dont get me wrong I get that.I used to work in food services (fast food) yes I know its different but, I stocked dining room cleaned it & bsthrooms & took out trash.
It all depends on when stores want to run their truck. My store currently does it over night but we have people that throw truck during the day and sometimes we will all together run it from 1pm-11pm
When you work for a 3rd party company like Acosta it may not be overnight
Overnight stocking is good because this allows you to stock the shelves without customer interference. Typically a lot of stores do have sockers throughout the day but major retailers tend to have over night stocking to ensure the store has fully stocked shelves for the next day. To answer you question no stocking is generally a 24/7 thing depending on the store you work at they’ll always have someone stocking something throughout the day.
Most stores have night crews to stock freight. Dairy/frozen can be stocked either day or night. Most folks in grocery stores during the day are either DSD or a team to do resets in certain areas.
This is one of the worst companies in America to work fohey pay their field reps poverty pay and NEVER give raises.The health insurance is very poor and could easily lead one into bankruptcy. They cheat their employees out of mileage and require workers to mainatin their own vehicle, costly insurnce and must use their own home wi fi. The mdistirct and regional managers cheat employees out of wages by editing their time sheets without emplpyees knwowing..they pay field res $25k per year with no bonuses.I quit when i learned they pay workers in BJs,Target and Walmart much better than Acosta does. The major clients of Acosta should be ashamed that they employ a company that abuses its workers so much.
