Would these grow in Texas?

My balloon is yellow, esp at bottom and overall plant is droopy and looks unhappy. It gets 6-8 hrs a day of sun, mostly hot west exposure and I water it 3 x a week. ( Too much?) I did have better luck w this plant last year,not sure what's up. Does have a lot of aphids . Way to many to squish(it's 6ft tall!) Any suggestions? Someone suggested nitrogen supplement. I'm prob gonna just cut it down, but just hoping for a miracle, help!

Take cutoff`s and keep in water ..they will develope roots.

Thanks for your video years ago we had a globe thistle in our garden o in Spokane did not spread all over yard and came up each year i am now starting plants from seed the soil in spokane very gravel and well drained .

First comment? OK. I have a 3 clump Strelitzia reginae that is about 3 feet tall in an east facing porch at my home in Lake Charles, LA. We're about 50 miles north from the Gulf of Mexico, so subtropical. It's Jan. 9, 2024 and we haven't been but into the low 40's yet, so you get the idea. Freezes are seldom here so I leave my plant outside 98% of the time. When I got it around 5 years ago it was slightly smaller and was about the height it is now, but it's never flowered. Overall, an easy care plant. Just bring inside if the temperature should get into the 20's. Happy gardening, everybody! 🪴
