In addition, her growth was significantly delayed, even now, at 16, she's still only 1 Mtr 50, and weighs around 50 Kg, so still tiny, and as a result, her stamina is significantly reduced compared to most, she struggles to climb more than 2 flights of stairs, even long walking such as through a large airport is a challenge, made worse by carrying 2 feeding pumps in a shoulder bag or similar for 22 hours a day, but she absolutely refuses to allow her disease to define her, and is determined to live as normal a life as possible, but on a bad day, she does sometimes resort to using a wheelchair. You need to please make the video pic larger. It’s so small I can barely see it. Needs to be about 4 times the size. Also, every time you speak while the video is playing, the sound is muted on the video. Listen to your own video before posting it and you will see what I mean. Your new. It's nice seeing someone seeing Emma with a fresh pair of eyes. btw it is Emma Kok (pronounced as we would say 'cock' but in The Netherlands kok means cook, as in chef, so is not as awkward as it sounds to us). Emma Kok is a phenomenon and a phenomenal singer. My opinion yes, but these are also the exact words of Frank Steijns, a senior member of the orchestra you see in your reaction video, when talking about Emma in a recent tv interview. As @exeter1588 says there is so much to say and point you towards. Since Emma won The Voice Kids in 2021 she has become something of a national treasure in The Netherlands. There is so much out there on Emma but a good follow up reaction would be her new original song, one year on from 'Voila' and performed at the same venue. The introduction mentions Emma's foundation and that she won The Voice Kids NL in 2021, but here is how the foundation started. Emma also won the first series of Ministars in early 2023. When asked by the producers what she would do with the €25000 prize money (which the rules stated she could only receive when she was 18), Emma said she would use it to start a foundation: a) to raise awareness of her little known condition, b) to support fellow sufferers of all gastrointestinal illnesses, c) to raise further funds to support research into gastroparesis. A couple details - That "trumpet" sound he makes is actually a semi-occluded vocal warm-up technique. He is a minstrel warming up his voice, then clearing his throat in preparation for his performance. Ren read a newspaper article about a 14 y.o. boy who robbed & fatally stabbed a young prostitute. The officer interviewed said, "It's such a shame." Ren was affected by the story & over several yrs. created this Shakespearean tragedy of intergenerational violence & trauma. Violet's Tale came out in 2019. 2019 minus 2005 = 14 y.o. twins. Jenny was a 14 y.o prostitute.

For me the gut wrenching part is when he talks about Violet's father's abuse, and her mother turning a blind eye, and then her leaving her childhood home only to end up in a similar situation. It's heartbreaking. The whole of Violet's tale is so evocatively written and performed. I love the descending chromatic scale Ren sings wide-eyed as Violet in the hospital. It sends shivers down my spine. And also the part where the camera looks up into the stairwell. The part where Ren is playing Stevie creeps me out, especially when he pulls Violet's eyelids up. It's so invasive and violent.
