Simple Living Montana
Добавлен 13 ноя 2011
Regenerative Agriculture in Montana.
We moved and sold our over 2,000 sq ft home and now live in a 600 sq ft cabin with two kids and two dogs! It is difficult and we hope to expand someday but for now we are loving the closeness and the opportunity to simplify how we are living.
We want a different lifestyle then the typical 9-5 job or working for someone else. We want to both be active in our children's life, work with them and show them the blessing that work is.
We want to document our journey for future generations. It's easy to see trends of skills lost in one or two generations. In reading our great grandmother's retelling of her life story and journey, we were deeply curious when reading things like, "We ate everything we grew". Fascinating, but how? How did you do it? Could we do that today?
Please subscribe and follow along as we live life in Big Sky country and build our dream property for the next generation!

@@simplelivingmontana I don't eat things that eat their own $hit.
@@vicmorrison8128 o ya you clearly don’t know much about pigs. Regenerative agriculture or pastured pork. Sounds like you’re retarded actually.
@@simplelivingmontana thx!
Thanks for the info
Any time!
So the handful of fig scraps I feed my chickens is greatly improving their health? That’s good to know.
From my own research what I have found is that this study was performed by regenerative farms in the UK and has since been suppressed by there government in different ways. What I personally know and understand from other farmers like me. Birds that have access to these kinds of environments and open forage are healthier, better looking, better tasting and helpful to the environment and overall ecology of the farm! Cheers
Looks amazing ❤
It was!
Sign me up 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Good luck ❤❤
That is beautiful fast food right there!
So good
Pole first pitch? Probably why you had to fiddle with it so much. And your kids are annoying.
@@ThomasJeffersonWolfcall-kn3bx It must be hard for you. God bless.
Not hard enough that I need to pimp my family out for a thousand subs.
@@ThomasJeffersonWolfcall-kn3bx as you prove my point 😂😂I hope you get better. God bless.
You're right - I don't get it. I will never grasp the compulsion to flood the internet with endless videos of your so-called “simple” life. Actually, the available evidence proves my point - nobody cares. It's a modern epidemic and you should be the one seeking help. God... I bet you’re on TikTok too, aren’t you? I clicked expecting a tent review but instead watched playtime with you frolicking around in it like a man-child "here's where mommy goes." Which to be fair, is consistent with the other sheltered, homeschooled, jesus camp kids I've encountered, so don't take it personally. Someone’s got to keep the cycle going, right? Well, I'm sure you have lots of neat bible stuff to do today, so I'll let you get back to it. I'll look forward to your next video 😉
Then why are you carrying? Hey we love the comments and we don’t care what people care haha. But thanks for being one that does care. God bless 😂😂
🤤🤤🤤🤤
Sooo…good!! 😊
No way 😢
Bummer
Been there :(
I’m so sorry 😞

There is no such thing as luck.
That video made me dizzy, but I love your family❤
Beautiful family!!
Someone had to walk in circles well each of them ate lol
Kinda dizzy but awesome job!
Ngl though the little kid kicked the rooster and make it attack him I don’t blame the rooster honestly
That’s because the rooster attacked him. All you city kids always have the same response haha

Dude! Hi Dylan!
i rlly had to process that😂
That place is beautiful
That it is!
بالتوفيق ❤❤
Agree. So sad to see family farms and ranches sold because all the kids want to move to the big city and become doctors and lawyers
The average age of the American farmer/rancher is 65 yrs old. At a median age of 35 a profession is considered to be going extinct.
Why did you kill the poor rooster😨 don't kill it cause that's the original thing God made roosters to do, eat, sleep, drink, mate and attack😨 don't ever do that big mistake in life😨😟🐓🐔🐣🐤🐥😓😓😭😭
Life is too short to have wild animals. It’s easy to tell you have a disconnect from the people who raise your food.
Omg the sweetest ♥️
Fun fact, sagebrush isn’t related to regular sage but is a member of the Artemisia family which includes mugwort, and wormwood, aka the absinthe plant. Commonly used by natives for inducing strong dreams and visions
Poor chickens cramped up waiting for slaughter. Creep
Sage is a very healthy and medicinal herb for the body ... They are very smart and self medicating themselves as every animal in the wild does ...👍😀
It’s cool to watch them and understand them.
So cool have you looked into sheep at all?
Yes I have and the sheep market is really good right now but I use to help my cousins with there sheep when I was little and I just never enjoyed them or goats but if the demand is there I will get into sheep. And honestly Lamb curry is probably one of my favorite dishes so maybe I will!
@@simplelivingmontana just bought small flock of hair sheep myself and got lease for 120 acres. And mark my words by 2030 I’ll mini cows lmao
They are so cramped in that cage
They’re not cramped they’re used to him moving the cage to new feeding grounds so they all know this and are ready to walk when the coupe moves
No they’re not
Yeah they abuse their animals it’s so sad
If you don’t know any better you could think something like that but these birds have a great life and get more room to move then any chicken you buy at the store.
It's this or hawks man... and they have plenty of room. You think they need a ton, but they don't really ever fly. I bet they drop eggs like crazy with the sage brush
I wonder if they'll have extra flavor now
Dry good question. Buy some chickens from Mad Farms and let me know! Haha
@@simplelivingmontana where are you located
Omg All of them. 😊
