It has the mofo bam 4100kv paired with a lizard ultimate and furitek avatar radio. The transmission is mofo mod .5 gears. Axles have the mofo 30% overdrive. The spur and pinion are the mofo race combo. I run it on 2s only. it is too fast. Lol.

I’d take them apart and add grease. Put them back together carefully and hardly tighten the screws. Be sure to use lock tight to keep the screws in place. The looser the better.

They are still going. My kids drive the bronco and it’s turned into the loaner rig out on the trail or here at the shop. These portals have been put through the ringer. It is worth upgrading the diff gears. Other than that they’ve been great. I’d buy them again.

@@thedailykrawl7084 great news then. I may try them, although I don’t really need the brass axles. Guess I can just swap the portals to stock plastic axles. The price has really dropped on them though since your video. Very tempting indeed.

Mod 5 pitch pinion and spur gear. Mod 3 pitch transmission gears. The pinion is a 8 tooth hardened steel gear by mofo for the nano beast motor, the spur gear is also by mofo and hardened steel (both mod 5). The transmission is a mofo transmission hardened steel as well (mod 3).

Thanks for checking it out. Yeah, I’m on some Facebook groups. I used a stencil from “acid tactical”on Etsy. I used that color shift paint then pulled the stencil and sprayed the black. Turned out pretty good for what it is.

Sounds good. I like the way it looks as it is. The grill is removable. I’ve bought a few grills and tried different things. Looks the best as it is in my opinion. I’m done spending money on the micro shark. I’m about 1,500 into it. If you cut the front off you can’t put it back. Expensive try, if it doesn’t look right then you gotta get and paint a new one. With a stock size servo or a small crummy servo it will fit. Since I’ve got all brass on it now including the mofo brass servo. It’s a beast and needs a powerful servo. I like the way it looks and built it the way I could. Performs great for what it is. I’ve got a cheat code, scythe, and an Akers chassis for performance. I tried to keep the micro shark as scale as possible the way the chassis intended. Very fun build. Thanks for checking it out

I see he renamed them to Outlaw wheels instead of super wheels. They’re different. Some guys love them! I’m waiting on the 6shooter in carbon fiber and the new outlaw aluminum wheel barrels. I want to try a more solid wheel with even bigger tires than the comp pins. I’ve been driving my cheat code with the mofo island wheels and the comp pins. Honestly the best wheel tire combo I’ve found (at least on my rocks). Thanks for checking it out bud.

The mofo portal’s definitely required some work with a dremel. I had to dremel the axle a little bit to get the dog bone to line up. Then you need to adjust your end points so it doesn’t over steer. I have 50 percent overdrive to the front now. It helps with the steering. Plus I put hardpark 1.0 wheels on to tuck the portal boxes which also helps with steering. The mofo V1 portals required some work. Once you get them lined up they are awesome. I hope that helps.

Yeah I hear ya. I had to try them and see how super they actually are.

Haven’t tried cutting pins yet. The weight hangers stick out because of my +4 inner axle shafts and then the +2 hardpark wheel hub.

@@rcrockcrawler you’ll want extended axles like super 8s or that other brand the weight hangers are attached to the knuckles and the rear axle.

Yeah there just different. Good things and bad things. Just like any wheel and tire I suppose. The aluminum limited editions are super thin and bend under any stress or torque. Not a fan of that. Hopefully he makes some metal inner rings. The 3D printed parts and the thin aluminum warp all the time. Honestly I’m probably going to buy another set in titanium or carbon fiber. I’d like to try a set that doesn’t tweak itself and bend out of position. I’ll also put a 1/18th scale tire on it (70mm to 75mm) to get some side wall. I don’t know, its a wheel. It shouldn’t bend out of shape. They do hook up on the rocks, but so do my pins on mofo wheels. I don’t know and I’ll leave it at that. Thank for your input and hanging out.

They are the 1.8 hardpark super wheels and the 65mm injora comp pin tires.

Thanks brother! I’m on the fence about them. They are so different. I think once he has some more metal parts they’ll be more durable. They are very different and require a little different driving style. I can see why some would like them but I can also see why some would not. Thanks for checking out the video. Aliexpress.com. There are a bunch of different brands of the same axles. Shop around and snag a set you like. I don’t have an exact link but aliexpress is the website I used. It’s in china and takes 3 or 4 weeks but cheap.

Right on, thanks for the tip. I’ll have to try those ear plugs, great idea. I’ve driven it through plenty of gates now. Glad I made these RUclips videos. Crazy how much this rig has changed from the time I made this video to now. This was my first lexan body rc. Lexan is noisy, if I run it chassis only it’s much quieter. The lexan echoes the sound of the gears. Good old SHREDDER, I’ve been changing it up with a bunch of hard park hop ups. Finally got my super wheel weight hangers. Time will tell if the super wheels are indeed super.

Yup. Nick at rcaddiction19.com, he’s on instagram too. Hit him up, he will bend and cut whatever length you want. Brass, aluminum and possibly copper if has the stock.

Only because it is so wide. Scrub steer is real. Hard park crawlers makes a good wheel that tucks the portal boxes (helps with steering). Also if you add over drive it helps with turning. It’s not terrible. I enjoy the way it’s set up.

Thanks man I appreciate that. Took some effort preparing everything for paint. I used a primer filler called Mr Surface. I primed and sanded and primed and sanded over and over again. It’s a total shelf queen except I drive it often, lol.
