That's a good plan. Some people reported increased fan noise after the recent firmware update. I haven't noticed, but my hearing isn't great. I am swapping to the new QD OLED soon

Honestly I'm not 100% sure, I would contact EVGA and see what they recommend. I wonder if something just got stuck in in, maybe try compressed air to start

I did reinstall it when done, this was removed to redo paste.

I dont mind. Gaming is usually around 86c.

I saw about a 2c decrease in the end.

The pump plugs into the PCB of the card, so it is drawing power from somewhere on the card.

@@PadinnPlays I swapped the fans out for LL120 Corsair fans that are connected to my Corsair Commander. Is there anyway to have fan speed show up in EVGA software X1 without actually running the fans off the card?

@@dkell1597 Yes there is. You can buy a cheap fan hub, then hook up the PWM fan on the hub to the four pin cable on the Kingpin (if you look at the 3 cables on the card only one has a four min connector, that is the PWM signal). That way the hub powers the fan and the RPM shows up in the EVGA software. That is how I have mine setup. Also prevents the fans from drawing power away from GPU/memory.

@@PadinnPlays hey I'm using the PWN fan controller in my cosair 5000D, and have it connected to the 4 pin and it's still showing 0 RPM for some reason but the fans all spin fine. any tips? Or could you link me the PWN fan hub you got?

I used stock. I did read some people have issue doing custom, I'd read up on evga forums to make sure you've got proper thicknesses.

I never notice the pump. Occasionally a little coil whine, but that actually cleared up with use.

The radiator fans do not turn off, the shroud fan can based on temp.

Correction! It did not include screws to mount it to case!

@@PadinnPlays I'm surprised it did not come with those long screws to mount the rad because those don't come with a case.

@@PadinnPlays I don't think you would miss those long screws in the gpu box. I know alot of stuff come with the kingpin but there still hard to miss. Good luck with that card. I'm sticking with my 2080ti ftw 3 ultra untill next gen.

It should, my 309ftw was hitting 70s and had pretty good air flow. If you use radiator as exhaust it dumps all that heat outside case. If you use as intake, it gets fresh air which can cool GPu, at cost of higher heat to other components in case.

I've since switched to the kingpin. When I had the hybrid it was mounted in front, tubes down. You don't want radiator on bottom, that will cause air to build in pump and aside from hurting performance eventually kill the pump. Always keep radiator above pump, if a front mount, tubes down is ideal.

@@yourboyvic Well, kinda. It's not so much gravity as air lighter than liquid. But yes, same general idea - air in pump = bad.

I would contact EVGA that sounds like you've got an RMA issue. Stock cooler is very good and you shouldn't be seeing above 75c with even a little air flow. Its probably got a poor gpu mount.

I enjoyed it as it was cooler and quieter, but its personal preference. It isn't super hard to install but it takes a few hours.

I've since moved to a new case, but it did fit in front of my fractal design s2 rgb.

My Hybrid (which I've since sold) had a peak of 511, averaged around 480. My Kingpin is a bit lower. This isn't always bad, hotter running silicone draws more power.

As an example, my kingpin will draw less power running at 2150mhz then my hybrid did at 2050.

I'm actually swapping to a Lian Li o11 Dynamic XL from my current Fractal Design s2 rgb. I love my fractal but want better gpu airflow.

Making my transition to the new case tonight, we will see how it goes!

@@francis147741 I didn't shunt mod, my first card maxed around 440. It seems to be a bit of luck of the draw, some chips pull more then others. EVGA has been investigating a bios issue. Not all chips will pull thay much, I've since replaced it with a kingpin edition, which can pull up to 520w, but maxes around 480. It runs faster though. So keep in mind more power doesn't always mean a better chip. You also draw more power at higher temperatures. Appreciate the feedback. All my parts on twitch.tv/padinnplays, including case. I love this case and it will fit 2x 360mm radiators. It can get a bit warmer (due to glass). I'd recommend looking at Gamers Nexus case reviews, they can help you find a great one.

@@PadinnPlays To be honest - I really do not care about the benchmark. I think the most important things to anyone temperature, noise level.

Gotcha. I run mine at 65% fan speed, temps never exceed 64c with ambient around 80F. Below 60c it's silent. As for noise, I'm prolly a bad judge but all it sounds like is air at that speed. Default profile is quieter with higher temps. This is using superposition benchmark

Security is tough i mean you want the President protected but President needs to be an accessible figure and its always that balancing act. I mean coming from the testimony from presidents children it must be tough because they have all these security measures and no longer can just do and go anywhere they want and privacy itself is at a minimum. I mean we take our own privacy for granted but when your a public figure all that goes away.

Definitely great acting. In real life, politicos never want to take responsibility for anything when it goes wrong.
