I'm pretty sure you are taxed on easements unless stated otherwise in the legal. Chip you might have over spoke there. It should be considered before granting abatements to every John, Dick and Harry abutting a neighbor with some cars (ie junkyard abatements when others pay on full)

I received a hateful and spiteful letter in the mail mailed from Hartford CT a few days ago but addressed on the env. from Donald Trump (they just put D.T. and his address and not their own name or address like a coward. Letters like this will never scare me into not having my say, as they stated they were upset more about me than John. This is the first time I ever felt I had to do something like this and I did say in the meeting it was the last thing I wanted to do. When people feel like they shouldnt speak up, thats when more problems begin and rumors start. I will continue to be me, if thats what a snowflake is as they called me in the letter lol.

This is in addition to my wife’s comment. I’m very flattered we got a love letter in the mail from someone who is most likely a friend of Bob the selectman. I haven’t received a love letter since the early 80’s lol. Before internet. Obviously from someone who doesn’t have the courage to confront us personally. I agree that some of the pro-track commenters have been quite rude to the neighbors. But rude online comments are not illegal. It's irrelevant to zoning regulations. Is the track allowed under the zoning or is it not? Later, I think around 2:46:00, the speaker makes a persuasive argument that the track is not allowed.

these men are initiating a very dangerous precedent. They are treating the town as a home owners association and seeking to be able to tell a man what to do on his own property. If they feel that strongly against a free track for kids to practice on then maybe it should be voted on at town meeting via referendum. Two or three disgruntled citizens should not be setting policy. It is up to all of us to decide what is right and wrong. Years ago I was approached by a woman neighbor who thought we should rezone from agricultural to residential. I am a farmer. Told her to piss up a rope. If this nonsense goes through what next? No lawn mowing on weekends? Nice guys eh? One of them called me a buffoon and a liar. Said I couldn't possibly hear the bikes, I can, so who is the liar?

Imagine what good could be accomplished if Steve Stettner applied the same amount of energy and salesmanship into something positive besides spearheading a lawsuit against a privately owned free dirtbike track for kids. I hope in the future he is inspired to use this energy in such a way, and doesn't feel too bullied to speak up again (like the way he "excoriated" a local woman for poor parenting and spreading moral decay across the country)

These kids aren't on the street painting graffiti on walls. Hanging doing drugs. Guy doesn't charge anyone. His property. He should be allowed. These kids are having fun. For goodness sake. Another butthurt neighbor.

I don't see any sort of gain for shutting down mx171. This is only relevant thing the community has for younger audiences. Everything just seems to cater to the elderly. There is no law saying someone can't rake some dirt and drive a motorized vehicle on it with their community if they want to. The injury argument is hardly an argument because anyone who actually wants to ride on a track obviously knows that you have a good chance of getting hurt. This a pathetic decision, this does not hurt anyone. And aren't you elders always nagging at the fact how kids never go outside but when we do you try to shut us down? Please, someone educated actually make a decision. "I've seen many oil spills and that's where my water comes from" that is such a bad argument. Your oil literally comes out of the ground and your water is filtered through a pipe to get into your home. It seems like you are trying to find a good reason to shut it down just because you don't like it. This is like riding on a trail but in a loop, and on PRIVATE property. Taking away something that brings people together, and causes little to no harm doing so. The man has given up a section of his property to bring the community together? I see absolutely no issue with that.

I’ve rode that area my entire childhood with just about everyone of my friends and got to know the land owners and even brought equipment out there to rake the jumps and take care of the land. Worst thing that happened was we got stuck crazy huh

It is impossible to give the Road Agent enough money for winter maintenance. Our geriatric and millennial populations simply can’t drive under the conditions that many of us learned on. The common sense of stayimg home when the roads are bad is almost non existant.
