I'm 40 and have cut my own hair for 20 years. Not a pro. But the issue i see with all these YT cuts is the close fade/taper. That's s*it passed 10 Years ago. Leave the sides longer. Like a 2 guard and taper just the very bottom edges. Then don't clean the sides and behind the ear so it looks more natural.

You need to cut your hair around your cowlick like wayyy shorter. It’s super voluminous back there because it’s coming out of your cowlick, cut it shorter or weigh it down with other products.
