Official Colne Valley Railway the events look great but I am going to miss thomas, I remember going to the thomas event here when i was 4! Memories forever

@@harryfoley2294 I'll miss the event too to be honest, it's so nice that you have the memories of them though, I remember my first ever visit to the CVR was on a Thomas day when I was about 5 :)

Hi there, thankyou very much that's kind of you to say and I'm glad you enjoyed your day out with us! It was an Excellent few days, fun had by all! :) However, sadly it will also be the last Thomas video for the foreseeable future as we have taken the decision, with a heavy heart to end the Day out with Thomas events for now. We do however have some other exciting family and enthusiast events coming up in 2019, including a mixed transport day and Wallace and Gromit will be popping in for a cuppa and some cheese! :) We hope you come and see us again, especially with our new Heritage Lottery funded improvements taking shape this year and next! We start the new season with a volunteer recruitment day and public steam service on march 24th and heritage diesel day on March 23rd. www.colnevalleyrailway.co.uk We are also on Facebook!

No we don't do too badly. We will be even better once the Heritage Lottery Funded work improvements have been completed, however. :)

+Jah Moaze I don't think Daisy would like to be called stupid, she's a very useful engine, helping Thomas, and his other friends out when they visit us from The Island of Sodor. However when Daisy goes back home, her friend from the big railway operates in her place which is our Class 121 Diesel Multiple Unit 'Bubble car' which used to operate in the south west and the welsh regions back in the 1950's and 60's before being preserved for enthusiasts and families to enjoy a driver's eye view and to relax in the comfy, restored seats. Maybe come down on a DMU day and have a ride yourself? Or if you would prefer to ride with Daisy, she'll be visiting us along with Thomas the tank, Sir Topham Hatt and friends on selected dates in 2016! Hello, sorry for the very very late reply (This channel has only become active again this week) 'Arry does come and go from time to time depending on how busy the Sodor docks are :) If you are interested in the class of locomotive, he is a class 08 shunter typically used in docks like on Sodor but also for shunting carriages and hauling light weight freight trains short distances.

+StarbugProductions Yes the CVR hires the EARM Thomas, usually as it HIT's 'official' type locomotive (it's used on the promotional material) also it's closest. If it's not availiable then it would be another accurate Thomas (last time the EARM one wasn't avaliable the cvr used the mid hants thomas instead)

Indeed he is, and he's looking forward to visiting again this year visit the railways website to see when he is next due to pay us a visit!

Bo Barlow Funny that :) Indeed it is a mini Toby the tram who visits the CVMR on our Day Out With Thomas events (of which you can find out more on the CVR website - www.colnevalleyrailway.co.uk ) Toby is fully licensed to run on the event days as well and for the rest of the time is now back in it's original guise as Dock Shunter 'Saffron'. The first layout you see though is the permanent model railway at the CVR called 'The Tierney model railway' it's interactive and in 00 gauge with many sorts of rolling stock and locomotives both analogue and digitally controlled. Damien Le Maistre Nope, we can't forget Daisy! Sir Topham Hatt still invites her along to our events, along with Mavis and Thomas and mini Toby the Tram on the miniature railway! We are sorry but as far as I know, Fergus is unable to attend our railway as he's always busy on the Island of Sodor when we have Thomas the tank round in June and September/October. StarbugProductions I will let you know, hopefully soon, might be by the end of this summer but it could be longer, as I need to purchase the adequate video editing software for the imac. Most videos on here are edited with my PC but it is not living up to the job any more. Then I have the next problem which is that the mac does not have a disc drive (why Apple, why?) So I'm going to have to buy a disc drive for the mac as well to fit externally. The editing, I'm hoping will start soon but it's going to be a long project as it will include pre-BR, BR, and preserved history, future plans, chairman interview, volunteer interviews, cab rides, a how-to-drive and things like that :) The wait will be worth it, it's like waiting for the next episode of Doctor Who to come out haha :)
