And this my friends, is why I’ve peed in every single pool I’ve ever been in throughout my entire life. That chlorine smell is what makes people feel like they’re really swimming, it’s what makes them feel like the water is clean. Can you imagine how uncomfortable people would feel if a pool didn’t smell like Chlorine and only smelled like water? I mean that scent is tied to people’s memories, and childhoods, or notions of cleanliness. People say “Oh, they must have just shocked this pool”, no, nope my friends. Someone just added more memory juice for you! So you're welcome .
