How did you stick the GSP, I have tried 3 times falls of after a few days… I dry the wall when I’m doing a water change then stick on, but no luck

No new fish or shrimps and crabs? Are you satisfied with the livestock you have already? How many fish do you have in your tank total? It's hard to see

Quick question what kind of filtration do you run on this tank? Is it hang on back or something else? And if it's a hang on back how do you go about changing the carriage without killing off the benifical bacteria? I made the mistake of switching out my cartiges before buying a reusable sponge that I can rinse and reuse and all my fish ended up dying 🤦. I got another clown fish but not sure if my tank is going to need to cycle again

I dont have a go-to brand. Im not loyal to a company. I like to buy good quality stuff but sometimes its just not worth it even in this hobby. I have pumps from EchoTech, Sicce, Maxspect, and Dahlua the Australian brand. They all pump water silently lol. (sicce is pronounced see-chay)

My clowns are so nasty, i get 10-20 bites every time i go in, cant touch a rock even 2-3 foot away from their spot. I have a pair of lightning Maroons that are about 2+yrs now. The male is the worse for me though, crazy angry dude. Momma joins in just for sport but shes not as mean. My LFS still has some really nice real live rock. I used dry rock mainly but started with a bit of live aswell.

Ideally, live rock. But it's not the old days anymore. Where every lfs had a tub filled with it. But dry rock can be done just tank takes a bit longer to mature.

Nice pick ups bro. That chalice is sweet. Also, I would recommend getting yourself a tooth brush to scrub the rocks for the algae. Works like a charm!

Dont stress too much if you dont have a topic for the day man, just frequent blogs about anything is cool and will build the channel. Some close ups of coral would be good if you can get them too.

Was never into mushrooms…… always been a stick head, until recently . I Picked up a couple of OG bounces a week ago and now the mushroom addiction has started 😭😂.

One other piece of advice ill give is try to stop chasing numbers and let your fish tell you how they feel if your fish look happy and active and your water is clear no need to be testing the water and doing water changes every week , I only do water changes once a month and its only 5 gallons of water that i will remove and replace , And ever 3 to 5 days ill do a water top off thats it. My fish are perfectly happy

Why not upgrade to a 75 or bigger? Since you already have a 30 plus gallon tank a 40 breeder wouldn't be much of an upgrade, I currently have a 40 gallon breeder and i wanna upgrade to something bigger then a 75 like a 120 , 75 would be the minimum problem is most of the fish i have and want will out grow a 75 like blue hippo tang for example purple or yellow tang may also outgrow a 75

I run a small 12 inch fan blowing over the top of the tank in summer, even on days into 100+ i can keep my tanks 78. The air from the gyre waves is enough to cool it with a fan. For my lids I have a red sea/ D%D solutions home made one, and a clearview custom nice one. The clearview was a waste of money.

Beautiful tank! I have a full spectrum light that runs on a 24 hour cycle, ramps up and down automatically. I have an orphek OR3 blue plus bar which I love to pop the colours of the corals. I run a skimmer and filter floss and use clay pellets for growing beneficial bacteria. I’ve had lots of algae issues with this 40g innovative marine. Not sure if it’s because of the clay beads or not but I’m 9 months in and I think I’m starting to win 🏆

Dream tank would be 8 foot long built into the house. I wanna get a smaller macro algae/ seahorse tank going now though as I was making a custom glass sump and ordered glass too thick and the sump is too heavy now so im scrapping the project and putting an overflow on it- tell my kid its their tank or somethin.
