I’m having an issue where whenever I place a note to replace a rest, it doesn’t replace the rest. It adds the note but keeps the four rests

doesnt work, cant add notes, 0/10 would not recommend

The nodes don't add when you click after you have pressed N... This is so stupid... What did I do wrong NOW?!!!!

I downloaded ,MuseScore once on my MacBook and it crashed my hard drive, then I downloaded it on my iPad and I seem to have a version only able to consult music … cannot actually do any notation at all. And lots of in app purchases.

I am not abel to input notes vertically in the same clef

Is there a way to turn off these automatic rests and put notes on empty sheet? It is so distracting when I have to deal with unnecessary rests all the time, especially when changing the rhythm in a bar already written :'( Thank you for this video :)

There are a lot of people asking questions on how to remove rests. If you want to remove unnecessary notes or rests click control and delete ( DEL) to delete them.

I soooo wish I had this program back in the 2000's when I was learning guitar with tabs only. Such a useful way to get into actual music notation and theory and build creative freedom.

Thanks so much for sharing. The other beginner videos were not good for me because they assumed the viewer already knew all about writing music. It was very helpful for me because I'm just starting to learn how to read sheet music so I can learn how to play a steel tongue drum and needed to do this on the computer instead of waisting loads of paper.

I don't like the fact that before even writing one note it's already positioning rests beforehand and then everything gets out of the place, etc so you waste time reorganizing, dragging the notes back. I'd like the score clean and that when I write something say in its place unless I change it. Unless you are an expert it will take a lot of time to make just one chart. too much struggle.

Please note: at 4:46, you are adding eighth notes, NOT sixteenths.

Here is a project for you. I am trying to enter a known piece from its sheet music - using The Rose by Amanda Mcbroom. Why don't you do a video like that - any familiar piece. Then we know what it should sound like. You would have to have the original up at all times to show the "target" we are trying to reproduce. A few lines will cover most symbols and if you go slowly we can see how you enter and maybe change/edit/move every single thing including spacing and breaking up measures. One for 4/4 and one for 3/4 would give a great foundation. One area not many cover is the selection process. Would be great to see that and maybe get you a lot of viewers! Your voice and overall approach sounds good.

Great video for a new person. Just what I needed. Couple of points - just remember when you say click here or use this, we might not see your tiny cursor. You paused initially and had a highlighted cursor with a red circle - much easier to see but were a bit quick other times. Minor point - when you entered your first four 1/4 notes to replace your rests I didn't see how you did it. I assume you just clicked but I have since learned that I can also type the note letter like "F" to place it on the right space. (I am on version 3.6). Look forward to more. Thanks

How to change the tempo

Hello I have a question. I use an external MIDI control keyboard from a keyboard (Tyros). A few notes are typed as normal, then the N (record) cursor hangs in the sense that it is standing still and all the notes are stamped into the chord. I have to shut down the program and restart it, where the situation repeats itself. Guitar Pro 5 works fine on the software. However, Guitar Pro only has a treble clef, because it is a program designed primarily for a guitarist. I want to write notes for the piano, i.e. the treble clef and the bass clef. Has anyone encountered such a situation? I have been looking for a solution for several months. Please give me some tips. Best regards . MiroslaV
