Very exciting race Karl. Well Done ! And your first Majors. Gotta like that. Your lines looked really good and you had some stiff competion out there. Question ? Did you notice the green and white car #2 brake checked you at the start of the s's coming out of t2 ? He did that to slow you down so you would lose your momentum and not draft behind him down the bacck straight. Gotta watch out for those kinda moves. He got payback later when the silver car that pushed Danny Steyn off on lap1 took the #2 car out at t1. Danny is a great driver and much respected. It is more fun to race clean than not. You seem to be a very respectful racer and I wish you the best of luck this upcoming season. Thank you very much for posting the vid. and look forward to hearing your thoughts. :)

You drove a great race. I bet you were grateful for lapped cars :) You were faster than the lead car everywhere but no way by. Even with your better exit speed out of the last corner, plus slipstream, that lead car had more speed and pulled away each time. My thoughts are, suspect engine :) Unless gear ratios are different?

Can someone explain to me how he has better exit speed and loses on the str8 being in the tow in same spec race?

0:46 by the trees on the right side i can barely see me and my father there we cheered you on the whole way along with another Miata that had the union jack on it (i saw at end of vid). Also question what number were you i forgot the number but remembered the color

I think this is the best racing vid I've watched at LRP and I've watched a lot. Great skills and great respect amongst the drivers. I'm very interested in the 04's line through turn 4 and down no name and will try it at my next HPDE, assuming I can bring enough speed through turn 4. Great vid.

Compared to the other guys, you are carrying good speed through the corners but missing some on the straights.

All I can say in the first few minutes to the out of class car is "dude get TF out of the way".

dude dont hate on me but ummm you need more practice in close quarters....that 5 car was beating you on most everything from corner entry to exit and his appexes were a little better as well....and i have no choice but to say that because mostly all i seen was the BACK of his car

My stock Boxster is faster through the turns than my stock Miata. Since the Boxster ahead of you left you far behind in the straights, you must be the better driver to run up his rear end on the turns.

Great battle. Seemed like if I you could have kept the outside line through 3, that would have put you in the lead at 4. Maybe clipping some corners on the grass too. Anyways, great driving. Looked like a lot of fun.

I like your line down the front straight - same one I use. I have so many people try to tell me I need to be up against the wall, which just doesn't work for me.
