How did the footpeg work? Was it worth the upgrade?
I use the bike everyday for work. I find the footpeg very comfortable. It’s also easier to stand on the footpegs on rough roads.
@ thank you!
I'm looking at the Green or the White . What do you think 🤔
The bike has a retro feel so I went with the green. Many people comment that they like the colour too.
@DistantSuns I was looking at the red Streethunter pro but I kinda love the screen and round headlight with round clock The streethunters has square headlight and square clock . Fabulous video .
@@thunderchild2237 Thanks very much. Let me know what you decide.
@DistantSuns I will
If your worried about the battery lifespan just use it as a fast charger when you really need too. Thanks for watching my video.
I found the standard rear disk quite hopless with the heaver 3.5kw motor
Versand. Das fand ich günstig. Mit zwei Batterien 5400 Euro. 👎
Yes, the Wanderer is the same mechanical design as the Street Hunter. You’ll get around 45km range in summer with one battery. The Wanderer and Street Hunter are ment for smooth city roads.
@ Sorry for the misunderstanding. My TC Wanderer is the 75km/h model.
Looking forward to know how much did the range and top speed increased!
I remember its 3.5J rear rim It can fit up to 140/70(60)-17
That's right. That's why I fitted a 120/60-17. 120mm wide is the maximum width on the TC wanderer series.
Is this a 45Km/h version? Very quickly.
No it’s not. It’s a 75km/h version. It’s not very quick at all.
@@DistantSuns Okay danke.
@@herrcedes3775 I replaced the rear brakes with a bigger disk rotor and dual disk calipers. You can't balance the rear hub motor tire because of the pole magnets field momentum. The rear shock is really appalling on the Wanderer and Street Hunter. You should look at a replacement.
Hi Ray, i hope you are well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I wish you & your channel all the best for 2025 & look forward to many most brilliant videos. Stephen
Hi Stephen, Likewise, Best wishes for 2025. I'll have a few more videos coming shortly. (free time on Winter holidays) Cheers!
Hi and thank you for your honest and lucid feedback on this bike, I love the look of the wanderer but I may turn to another “lycke race50” the look pleases me less but a friend has good feedback after a year of use, your videos have influenced me a lot on the electric bike and the pleasure of riding without noise, because the older I get the less I can stand the noise of my bike! The landscapes in your videos are magnificent - Japan is a beautiful country! I love the telemetric info on your videos from which software do you export them? Thank you and I look forward to watching more of your rides!
Thank you for your kind words. I use a program called "Telemetry Overlay". Just search on RUclips for @TelemetryOverlay.
I have been interested in this bike but now having second thaughts after your clip. Do you think it’s even really worth it. Especially the rear swing arm and front forks been so naff. Hell. Sounding like a death trap in ways? Has supersoco seen your clip and commented to this?
Honestly, I don’t think it’s worth it. The hub motor with the suspension is hopeless. The two battery option (with the extra weight) on the front forks is very poor. I think a central (mid) motor ev-bike will perform way better. Perhaps the TC-max or the new Stash would be better.
@ thank you for the replay and thought’s. Unfortunately the stash and tv-max are over my budget. Hmmm actually I check the prices again to double check.
I have been interested in this bike but now having second thaughts after your clip. Do you think it’s even really worth it. Especially the rear swing arm and front forks been so naff. Hell. Sounding like a death trap in ways?
I have the same unit, i wanna know what kind of mods can i use

Yes, I removed all the other pins and kept pin 3 only ( plus the big main round + and - pins. It was much easier to plug in that way.

G'day Ray, Looks good! Can't wait to ride it with you mate!
I think you’ll be quite surprised by the quantity of parts and performance.
Great ride! Thanks for adding it! By the way, how did you add all those info at the video ? Is this info added in real-time or is it a product of post-processing ? Which tool did you used ? Thanks!
Thanks for watching the video. The data is recorded in real time and then synced up in post using software called "Telemetry data overlay".
Excellent test & great graphics. Thinking of this model for the price is good but a big jump to get 100 mile range, even the Stash wont do that.
Thanks very much for your kind comments. This bike has two batteries giving me a total of 64Ah and I can get 100km (62miles) in summer. The stash has a 94Ah battery and provided you’re not riding on straight fast roads, lower speed narrow and curvy roads, you could easly do 100 miles.
So what was the top speed? Were you using 1 or 2 batteries?
Two batteries, Winter about 55km/h, Summer about 65-70km/h. Uphill takeaway about 5km/h. The stash won’t have those limitations.
Also interesting you said that kerosene would damage the o-ring. I thought kerosene was THE cleaner to use for all types of chains, and it's chain factory recommended. Your thoughts?
Yes, kerosene cleans chains, metal engine parts and many other oily parts wonderfully well and works fantastically with non o-ring chains. Unfortunately, the kerosene drys out the o-ring and the ring perishes over time. Also the kerosene works its way between the ring and the inner factory grease packed link which eats away at the grease. I also recommend you watch this video from Fortnine about chain cleaners. ruclips.net/video/UrEpAUi_QKA/видео.html
@@DistantSuns Thank you Sir
When you do your twice a month maintenance, what kind of cleaner do you use?
I use "Brake" cleaner, in other words, a freon based cleaner that I spray onto a cloth and then wipe the cloth across the chain.
Hi, I'm very new to motorcycling and is considering getting the wanderer pro, and would like to fit in drop guard sticks on the side because I will most likely drop it, do these screws in the video support drop guard installation? If not how can I protect my bike, thank you!
Hi, this is a very sensible question. It makes perfect sense to install crash guards. I'm afraid the side cover mounting screws are not suitable for mounting any guard, they can’t support the bike weight. Also there is no exposed frame for mounting the guards either. Let me have a close look at my Wanderer and I’ll let you know if something is possible.
I'm thinking of slide guards which is just a stick poking out, and there are some online that claims to be universal, but I'm not sure if all screws are the same or where would be effective.
@@lamalvin5689 I know what you mean about the side guards. Those types of "Stick" guards mount on the engine mounting bolts that go through the frame of engine based mototbikes. The TC Wanderer doesn’t have that type of frame. I don’t think there is a way of mounting them or any other type of guard to this type of design.

Nice video great bikes if i had to choose a fav it’s 8:00
The owners really do a great job of customizing their bikes here in Japan. Thanks for watching.
How are you geting that much range. Moast I got was 72km and 18% left in battery.
It's a combination of a few things. a - I plan my route so not to use fast straight roads. Mostly narrow low speed roads. b - I try to plan the trip so any uphill parts are at the beginning and I loop around and come back on flatter roads. c - I try not to use the brakes if possible. They scrub off too much speed and you have to accelerate again quickly which uses a lot of energy. I normally feather the rear brake only. d - When you're stopped or going very slowly, accelerate slowly to get up to speed. Don't twist the throttle full. e - Temperature, Anything over 25 to 35 degrees is the batteries sweet spot. After charging the batteries I use the bike immediately. If I can't, I turn off the circuit breaker and switch it back on when I'm ready to ride. If I could just pick two things from the above, I would choose lower speeds and slow smooth acceleration. But all of the above things help add to the extended range.
The Waterfall💦area is Stunning &. the Forest very similar to here. Hope you got to have a Swim as well.😌
I did, it was very cold.

Yes, the TC Wanderer and the Street Hunter share the same battery
@@DistantSuns use this battery is it want system update
@@tharindra-dz2mw No, after you install the plug on the new charger, just plug it in and start charging.
Am I correct that the current TC Wanderer is delivered with a 10A charger so no need to replace it or would a 15A do a noticeable better job. Would it be possible to use a 30A charger as well? Looking into the TC Wanderer for commuting (total daily ride of 25 kms) and I have to say, your channel is making all the difference! Thank your for these informative videos!
Thanks very much for the kind words. Yes, in Europe the wanderer comes with a 10A charger so no need to replace it. If you would like a faster time you could upgrade to a 12 or 15A charger from the same maker. To work out your charging time divide your battery ampere hour by the charging current. 32ah/10A=3.2 hours or 32ah/15A=2.1 hours. Add a little extra time for the BMS to balance the cells at the end but it’s roughly around those times.
My still looks ok(bike is 2 years old 3500km),will inspekt every few months.
Besides the poor metal quality, I think the very hard rear suspension helped contribute to the failure. Yes just a quick check every few months should be enough.
Thank you very much for the video! It’s a pleasure to use these footrests, I don’t understand, now the control has reached a new level, you no longer need to fight discomfort. I also note that on new versions the fastening will have to be modified, since the distance at the footrests fastenings has become smaller.
Have you checked with SuperSoco and are they going to do anything about it? Really concerned cause I got the exact same bike and I’m a six foot, 200lb person. 😬
It's out of warranty so it's up to me to resolve the issue. I recommend that you check your swingarm every few months. Your swingarm may have come from a different metal batch and not have the same problem.
Good video Ray.😊
Thanks!
Can we charge same time for two batteries and how many time for one battery
0% SOC to full takes about 3.2 hours for one battery and 6.4 hours for two batteries. If you use the 12amp charger made by the same company you can expect around 2.6 hours for each battery.
Have you any idea about rear suspension upgrade for this bike?
Well, the short answer is no. I do however think about this every time I ride it. The problem is that the design is fundamentally flawed. A monoshock is not the right selection for a rear hub motor because of weight, rotational mass and down force for traction. A dual rear shock system is best for this configuration. My dilemma is, do I want to buy an expensive monoshock and get the same results or modify a dual rear shock swingarm from a petrol engine bike that will 100% fix the issue but lose some of the bike's visual design characteristics. I'm still undecided...
I am looking to get backinto bikes again after a 20 year break, had big ish bikes before and really interested in electric, super soca seems a bit too slow for what I want but the new one does 58mph I believe? That mght just be enough for me tbh for local riding, cheap and chearful and good way to get back into it, however I am very tempted to buy a used zero sr and have a LOT more power just because its fun lol. If my area was like where you are riding there I would be happy to ride a super soco though. Thanks for sharing , looked like a great ride out. I love my Ebikes that I built and the frey ex that I bought used for off road adventures. 2 wheels are sooooo much more fun than 4 right?
Thanks for watching my video. The new Super Soco (now called Vmoto) TC Wanderer Pro has a 5.2kw motor and has a reasonable amount of power on the flat and narrow curvy roads. This EV has a two battery option which I recommend strongly, one battery isn't enough. People that have never ridden a bike before will be quite satisfied with its performance; However, You have ridden larger petrol engine bikes. I think after a few months of riding especially up hills, you will find this bike underwhelming. I also have a Surron that I modified to 10.2kw. This is a fantastic bike to ride at this power range. I recommend you take the TC Wanderer Pro for a test ride (up hills if possible) at see if 5.2kw is good for you. Vmoto released a new model called the "Stash" it is very much like the Zero (not in the same league) but styling, range and performance are very good. That may be better for you. Finally in any brand of EV bike I think 10kw and a minimum of a 60ah battery is best. My TC wanderer has 64ah (Two batteries) and my Surron has a 70ah battery. I get 130km on the Surron and 100-110km on the Wanderer in summer. I hope this helps. Cheers and happy riding.
Nice ride! May I ask what tyres are on your bike? I’m assuming they’re still 17”s but they look wider than stock. Thanks.
Thank you for watching my video. Yes, they are the stock tyres. Front 100/80-17, Rear 120/80-17. Cheers.
@@DistantSuns I have ordered a Super Soco TC-Max and it just arrived today. The stock tyres that came with my bike appear to be different than yours (90/80-17 front and 120/70-17 rear). I'm thinking of upgrading to the same tyres as yours (or something similar). May I ask what BRAND tyres are they? Thank you.
@@grandpabrogan No problem, They are Chinese made "Cordial" tyres that came with the bike. I don't recommend them because of the hybrid trend pattern they are very noisy. I recommend the Bridgestone Motorcycle Tire BATTLAX BT-39 Front 100/80-17 and the matching rear 120/70-17. You need to check that the 100mm front tyre will fit in your front forks and importantly not touch the inside of the front mudguard. Thanks.

Does this exhaust have a catalytic converter inside the damper itself? or just only the factory one in the pipe near at the engine?
BTW is it a Euro 4 exhaust or euro 3? i mean does it have a catalytic converter inside the damper? I was wondering cause i saw the EVO 4 model does have it. I hope it will not give any problemens with the standard tuning of the ignition :O?
Thanks for the question. The actual GPR muffler is a "slip-on" at the end of the factory Honda extractors. The original catalytic converter and O2 sensor remain untouched. The Honda is actuality Euro 5 complainant. The exhaust gas emissions are the same with the GPR muffler fitted.
