Sure seems like he's under arrest
I didn't know the movie is now a series. Sweet.
Great series. Love it! ❤
Hi guys need small help, is this different from the movie?
The movie is the adaptation of the first book, season 1 is the second book
I remembered seeing this movie years ago and relating to it so deeply and funnily enough ended up in a very similar situation myself as Hank in this movie. It's so difficult when you make it big to come home and feel like an outcast and then try to help only to be looked down upon or as if I'm the enemy.
Sorry to hear that
I watched this month before my grandfather who raised me called and told he has a cancer and has (at least three months to live) This was 1,5 years ago. Well, I drove to him the same night. He was my idol took me to guitar lessons since I was 10 in conservatory here in Finland. My real dad told me that I'm not allowed to be a guitar player cause my grandfather was now passed away jazz drummer. Eventually I became a drummer, but back to the story. I took time out of work and came to help him. He had good days and bad days. He went to palliative care cause the cancer had spread all over and couldn't be healed anymore. He was "only" 80 years old. He was the man who thought me everything. From Hunting to musical theory to business, how to threat women and how to be a real man in my yester years. In the hospital where you go to die I was beside him every day and spent many nights over. The nurses brought another bed to me to his room. I showered him every day when an accident happened and hold his hand till he took his last breath. I have a small family. My sister, his children and husband who live in England, and my grandmother who is dying now. I'm Finnish. Have some cousins but haven't talked them in more than 10 years I related to this movie so much that I have watched it several times after it. I'm here at now my summer cottage where we used to do everything together, but now I'm the sole user and taking care of this place. It's 6 hours drive from where I live, but this is mine now and someone has to take care of it. I tried to tell him 6 months before he got the diagnose to go to hospital cause he had lost weight and strenght, but he didn't. Should have pushed him more. Take care, we are sometimes the black sheep but don't care about it. Helped me..
0:47 This is super key! "Spontaneous Statements" ARE NOT protected by your Miranda Rights. When you start popping off spontaneously. You can't later say; well they hadn't read me my rights yet.
LoL
What is it called when?
Those subtitles are terrible.
This is one of the best Scene in S1 ❤
You do realize that the show is a work of fiction, meant as entertainment.
Isn't disassociation a possible way to deal with trauma? I can see someone acting perfectly normal around a love one dying, by disassociating that they died, as a coping mechanism. Also when the cuffs go on, that is an arrest, no matter what the cops say to weasel out of the situation.
You'd think so, but that's not the case. Like the deputy said, it is procedure. A subject, not a suspect, is detained, not arrested, even tho they are cuffed and in the back of a police car with locked doors. To turn this into an arrest, the suspect has to be so informed and read their rights (the Miranda warnings). Call it weaseling out if you want, but this is how things work.
Haller: "Roberto" Bailiff: "Reynaldo" Haller: " Hmm?" Bailiff: " My name is Reynaldo, not. Roberto Haller: " My bad on the name, Reynaldo, I took a wild @$$ guess. I didn't forget you at Xmas time. Remember the little gift and what was inside? - Lincoln Lawyer (C) 2011
Oh man that was cold 🥶
The question about the officer being a trained psychologist is not argumentative. The lawyer was asking a fact-based, yes or no question. He either is or isn't a trained psychologist. There is no argument here. The judge should have overruled the objection.
The question is still argumentative from a legal standpoint. The reason is because the point of asking that question wasn't to get any new information, but rather to argue the cop's observation. This is why the judge told the lawyer to rephrase the question so he could still make the point without being argumentative.
@@piano1500I fucking love the law, it's so convoluted in a way, but you can get what you want if you ask the exact right question

Louis was so good in the early seasons, then they made him a joke
I wldnt take a plea it wld be trial or dismissal wirh prejudice so i cld file an easy 1983 suit 😅
Hopefully you wouldn't type it yourself, I was close to a stroke reading your comment.
There was no actual footage and the client was guilty. However they would never be able to prove that the cop was actually lying so this made more sense.
Actually subpoena is really easy to draft. It normally about 1 or 2 pages long. Normally wont take more than 10 minutes. Ain't big deal.
@@nesmun yea it's his point. His associate should be ashamed of it. It's that easy. But not much of a learning process. I guess junior lawyers could still benefit from it by understanding the know-how. The real challenge about subpoenas is the service process because it requires personal service and people tend to avoid legal service irl. But that's the runner's job not lawyer's.
Louis is great mentor, isn't he
That's some good mentorship right there
He seem like a great mentor when isnt powertriping
I hate this guy 🐿 🦫
Final statements? It sounds like opening statements in a trial.
