Fixed engine noise by replacing idler pulley. Prior to fixing, i checked all pulley systems and replaced serpentine belt. I also inspected the radiator as I thought air inside a low coolant radiator could make similar noises.

Fix Samsung TV white spots by reconnecting reflectors.

Reflectors or lenses tend to fall out causing light to shine straight through instead of being distributed. Fix your TV by placing these parts back where they need to be.
appreciate you man. I’m sorry you had the problem and broke it but.. I have the exact Samsung and am getting my RUclips University on. Your video was EXTREMELY helpful. Trial and error is a mother. Especially if trial and error is encountered in first person. 😬 I been saying, “once there’s 5 spots, I’m going to do it.” 5 spots later.. still haven’t made the plunge to take it apart. Anyway, 12 spots are present now.. it’s ON. Fingers🤞 I don’t break it. 🤫
Thank you for sharing the fixing process it taught me even one step gone wrong could thwart the many steps that were successful. Thank you again for calmly laying out the fixing process
Ah! So that is what is wrong with my 10 year old LCD TV. I've been looking for an excuse to buy a OLED and took the plunge but maybe I can fix the lenses that fell of and use it as a TV in another room.
Ouch. Another video I watched, dude used suction cups to lift the screen, but that's a little scary too.
Timny should include this in the box
Great video, but I feel bad it ended badly for you. You sounded so calm after breaking the LCD. Sorry for the bad luck.
OUCH... trying to film with one hand and do the repair... not so easy! I saw another video where they just left the screen facing down on a flat surface and lifted the back up, no lifting of the loose screen and no risk of the screen breaking, but the way those clips work around the screen, it would be tricky to undo them. Maybe have the screen face down resting on 6 or 8 tissue boxes so you still have access to the clips around the edge... that's the way I plan to approach this. I'm hoping once the TV is facedown on the screen resting on the tissue boxes, I can take it apart without flipping/moving the screen. It's best to have two people when doing this for sure!
Definitely, let us know how it works out.
Sorted. excellent video. Thank you :)
Unlucky fella, think i will live with the spots it just goes to show the makers of these tv's don't want DIY people messing with them.
Power steering
Thanks for your sharing. However, I also cracked the LED screen same as yours.😂
Much appreciated. I have the same tv. This video however, shows me it would be best to live with the white spots ! ☘️
😂😂😂
Could not follow. I saw much better step-by-step videos. He is talking to professionals, not a first-time🫣😎r.
Thanks for doing this and giving clear directions! You're a great teacher! My heart just broke for you at the end of the video. You handled that well! I'm pretty sure I would have cussed out the TV and had to do a bit of editing 😂
Aww man! Great video. Sorry about your screen. Suction cup handles could have helped doing it by yourself. Appreciate your video though.
Thank you for detailed video. Read all your comments carefully, and still made the same mistake. Squeezed a bracket a bit and the display cracked. Fortunately, only the left part was not working and I could at least do a factory reset before recycling the TV. Also it's really hard to glue back the crystal in the correct spot, so light might escape anyway. I would suggest buy and replace all the led stripes.
Can you send me the part # please
Lmk if you got this same issue with my 2012
Great ,great work ,thank you for this video .
Did you watch the whole video?
@@HankPanky Si .
Wel i did what you said. With the gorilla glue it looks worser than before
I was not expecting the end and my stomach dropped for you. Great video all the same and I know what I have to do now... or potentially get someone else to do. There's a 50'' Samsung 4K LED near me for sale with the 'white spots' so... looks like it might be worth it. Thanks for uploading. Many wouldn't have and love from Northern Ireland.
Followed the instructions, glued it back on, did a little reassembly, it powered on, were all good so I put it all back together and placed it back on my shelf. *kathunk* ANOTHER ONE OF THE BASTARDS FELL OFF!!! AAAAAAAAAAA
That sucks big time 😕
... but all your lenses are in place now...
Wow thanks for your video but sorry about your LCD cracking I can imagine the frustration after a detailed disassembly like this. If I do attempt this I'll take my time & imagine I'm performing brain surgery-lol! You win some you lose some!
Thank you. Good, simple instructing video.
I have a 2011 Hyundai Veracruz making the same sound would the parts be the same
Yes, exactly
Haha I appreciate you still uploading cause I'm a very curious person and this showed me exactly what's wrong with my TV
thank you so much for your video guide...i fixed mine, but i accidentally cracked the brittle plastic tv frame...i'm glad anyhow coz i save a lot of money and saved by you... thanks man!
I feel you pain! Thank you for the video!
Sooooooo i did all this and when it came time to glue them back on, they wouldn't stick, with gorilla super glue, it wouldn't solidify, only after several hours it got tacky and i could pull them right off still. 🤔
I read forums saying don't use superglue bc it's not heat resistant. It said to use apoxy. I am putting the TV back together hopefully this works
Suction cups....
Don’t try fix it yourself just buy a new one or go to a professional unless you know you can do it, if not you’re gonna break it
If a person has an actual physical or mental limitation that prevents them from following direction, then sure, take it to a repair shop. But if not, there's only fear of screwing up that prevents someone from fixing this themselves. "Winners are not afraid of losing. But losers are. Failure is part of the process of success. People who avoid failure also avoid success.” -Robert T. Kiyosaki
This is a known defect on all tvs. Better glue should be used.
Any idea what the buffer weight is on the 11.5 tread pistol?
Thx Greetings from Germany
Is the barrel chrome lined? How you liking it so far?
Great help thanks very much sorry to hear about your TV.
So did you end up taking off the brace of whats the move.
Yes, for now 😉
Narrated to perfection i felt as though I was listening to the David Attenborough of problem solving !
nice video very informative Ill live with the circle, dont buy a samsung
😆 😆😆
I fixed every single lens that had fell off, all reglued and I carefully put it all back together and discovered I'd missed clicking one frame clip into place and it was gaping a bit - so gave it a squeeze and cracked the screen! Be careful, they're far more fragile than you think. I assumed that as it was flat, yet bent happily to fit the curved design, it was tougher than I thought - it wasn't!
Same $328 down the drain
Found a TV with 3 spots, going to attempt to do this the coming weekend. Great video, and I'll be super careful with putting back the lcd lol
Wow 😢, Sorry man. Ya try to give some nice advice, and in the process , bad luck strikes. Yeah, 60 inch would probably be too much flex, without help. Ended up going from luke warm,to boiling. But u tried. And those of us that learned from you...thank you. Take care 👍👍
Thanks for posting such a detailed video. I must have looked at at least a dozen others and yours was the only one that explained step by step so clearly. Sorry that it didn’t end well for you but it taught me that I should buy some suction cups. I am tackling this job tomorrow with your video in front of me!
Ive just taken my Samsung apart to do this repair, but found that all the reflectors are in place. Do I need a new backlight? I guess so
I have the same problem on a 10 year old 55" Samsung. Thanks for posting the easy to follow details on disassembly and re-attaching the lenses. One way to minimize the chance of handling damage to the LCD panel is to leave the TV screen facing down and lift up the chassis with the LEDs.
@Ted Amrein Well almost. I got everything disassembled but snapping the plastic frames back in place around the perimeter I got one corner misaligned and didn't notice until I cracked a corner of the screen when I was pressing the front frame back on. I should have taken more photos at every step of the disassembly to check against as I reassembled and I probably would have caught the error.
I've watched several of the repair videos - yours filled in gaps that some of those missed. Worth the watch - thanks for posting.
I feel so sad for you ! But the way you got towards it was quite promising .
Just got an "orb" on my 65" tv, probably only 6 or 7 years old. Was talking with my wife about just buying a new one, but with the help of this video, I think I may just end up trying to fix and save the cost of the new TV. Thanks so much for making and sharing this video!
Damn.
Tips from someone that has now repaired THREE 55" Samsung TV's that had the lenses fall off! Main Point: The most critical part of this repair is to get the lens PERFECTLY centered above the LED! When looking straight down on top of the LED with the LENS ON, there should be very little light coming from dead-center. Essentially, the lens should "push" the light to the edges of the lens itself. If you don't center the lens EXACTLY over the LED, then light will escape the lens and shoot straight up to the diffuser and you will *still* have white spots on the repaired TV (voice of experience speaking here). I would say use the following repair process steps- 1) turn the TV on and set the brightness to the LOWEST setting you can set it to (this will save your eyesight as you center the lenses) 2- Disassemble the TV to the point where you can re-glue the lenses. 3- Use a fairly slow-dry glue that allows you up to an hour of repositioning (I used GEL-type superglue**) 4- Put on your darkest pair of sunglasses (this process is very eye irritating- I ended up seeing spots for an hour afterwards!) 5- Turn the TV on and look down directly over the top of each lens you have glued 6- If any direct light is escaping STRAIGHT UP up through the lens, carefully reposition the lens until as LITTLE as possible is coming straight up- the three small "pips" on the lens should drop into the small copper-colored "holes" in the LED strip when centered correctly This small tweak GREATLY improved the quality of the image and light dispersal on my repaired units. The LED lens is designed to reduce the "direct-up" light and spread it wider to spread it on the diffuser layer above it. If its not centered, the LED sorta "blasts" through the lens and creates hot spots on the diffuser.. not as bad as no lens, but not as good as the factory aligned lens. I Hope this helps someone get better results! 👍🙂 ** The GEL-type superglue can cause the lens to "fog" so carefully wipe the lenses of any white powdery fog that may accumulate after the gluing process (Sorry to see the LCD broke on yours 😥I highly recommend using a pair of suction cups to uniformly lift the LCD to reduce the stresses of edge lifting it)
So basically, don't do it LOL
