What hospital and surgeon did you have?
@@btpuppy2 i saw Dr. Baskin with Houston Methodist. Him and his whole team were incredible. Couldn’t recommend them more!
The carotid artery is nowhere near the pituitary gland
@@btpuppy2 your carotid artery branches off and is on either side of your pituitary gland. My pituitary tumor was pressing up on my carotid artery 🤍
Haha first time you just popped up on my feed! Making these tonight!

Hi. I am currently waiting for my MRI results to see if I have a pituitary tumor. 😅 I also struggled with an eating disorder for a while but recovered and got my period back. But my period is still super irregular. I actually have the exact opposite of what you have. My prolactin is SUUPER low, and other hormones are too. 🤯 I’m exhausted all the time, I have headaches, anxiety, mood swings. Waiting for answers because I have felt like this for YEARS 😣
How can you not taste the avocado ?
The maple syrup and cacao powder cover the taste of the avocado! That’s only if it’s perfectly ripe, though. If there’s brown in the avocado, you will probably taste it a little bit!
@@gabbacado cool! Thanks for the tips and recipe!
Do you know that's my sister
Will make this with my sister!

Hi there!!! Came across this video in my search to find out what exactly is that I am going through right now. Just got my second set of test results and my Prolactin levels came back high at 84.7 ng/mL and the first time it was a lower 81.4 ng/mL which are both out of the normal since I am to be between 2.5-22.5 level. This is nerve wrecking but I think according to my Endocrinologist, we can attack this via medicine, pending an MRI of course. Thank you for sharing your story!!!
❤😅
Omg im making this in the morning
yay!! let me know how you like it!!
Thank you for your video.
Girl thank you so much for this video!!! Really needed to hear your encouragement, I agree and relate with so much you said❤️❤️ I have been working on all of these things, ( nourishing myself and my life and LESS STRESS which is so huge! Striving for more Joy and Peace in general, ( for me In and from, the Lord and in my heart ) And of course trying to give it “ time “ but it so challenging at times 😭 I related so much with what you said until it feels like you’ll never get it back sometimes but I appreciate your encouragement so much!! ) I know I will!!!! My body just needs some love and time, I think I really over complicate it at times . 😂 Thank you again for sharing, been dealing with this for a couple years now and it’s SO HARD to deal with my body not functioning like it should. But like I said I’m going to get there and it’s so encouraging having videos like this it make me feel like I’m not alone with the struggle.
Iam so glad that you are doing well
Gabbi...First off... I am also a christian and talk to god every day and try to life a "godly life" .. that said ... I find it refreshing that you can speak so openly about your faith. I am ( at 63) uncomfortable exposing such deep beliefs to others. I know the bible says to tell others about the wonders of god but I cant find that strength. I think you are awesome to have that. Don't get me wrong I am flawed But that is one of the things I talk to him about. I hope one day to be worthy of him.
I have one of these too. 15 years of problems finally found out what it was, (incompatant and lazy doctor) I found a new doc and he sent me to an endocronalogist who did blood work for my low testosteroneI (had a testosterone of 2) NO energy or stamina slept 16 to 18 hrs a day. (and at 60 i dont have that many good years and cant afford to waste them) I had constant head aches and dizzyness, and bright flashes of my my vision. And bingo high prolactine. she put me on Bromocriptine and the energy and stamina is much better (I can walk now in to get my drugs etc)... Worst part of mine ...Nausea and vomiting, and sexual drive increased dramatically and that was much darker than I was ever prepared for. I have to keep going. No mri yet, waiting for appt.1 month into treatment and on the road to a better life.
In the beginning when you said “calories” i literally said “the devil” in my head and then you said it right after I thought it!! So weird lol
Hey Gabbi I’m going in for the surgery next week 15th pre and then surgery on the 16th. I’m feeling very emotional and extremely lonely. I’m so scared that I won’t come back from this. I have a lot of forgiveness and healing still to come and I’m afraid that I won’t be able to accomplish it if the surgery does not go well. Eating and listening to you has made me process the up coming operation more and I’m feeling slightly better. I want to try to stay calm and relaxed for me and my family. Any tips on things that I can do before my surgery in order for me to relax. Thank you Libby ( London, England)
Hi sweet friend! I am so so sorry that I am just seeing this and getting back to you. I am praying that your surgery went well and that you are feeling peace on the other side! All of these feelings and emotions that you are experiencing are completely normal. It's so overwhelming to anticipate this surgery! YOU AREN'T ALONE! Here for you and praying for you! Please update me whenever you can <3
I have a lesion on my pituitary gland. It’s been a few years since I needed to see my doctor and get MRI. However I’ve been wondering about it and worried so my doctor wants me to get my 2nd MRI this week and I’ve just been freaking out scared but thank you for sharing your journey 🤍🥲
Hyei can i talk to uh?
Hi Gabbi!!! Glory to God in the Highest!!! You are headed!!! I am going for surgery too. Would i be able to talk to you?❤
For all those with health anxiety (and that includes me) please note that a pituitary tumor is NOT a brain tumor, and is not cancer. I've not met a single medical person who calls it either of those things. It is a benign growth on the pituitary gland. It is treatable. It isnt life-threatening. I have one. Im a male with high prolactin (over 1200 mu/L, thats about 58 ng/ML), with consequent symptoms - which are not great fun. But lets not over-sensationalize this. Its a treatable medical condition.
Hi friend! I'm so sorry you are walking through this journey. I also have struggled with health anxiety my whole life, so I completely understand the feelings. I have actually had surgery to remove the tumor since this video! The surgery is performed by a neurosurgeon and my medical records do say the words "benign brain tumor". While it is incredibly treatable and not life-threatening, and that's such a gift, it is still a type of brain tumor. Sending you so much love and prayers for your journey!
Hey Gabbi, my name is Dave and my wife, whose thirty six, was recently diagnosed with a prolactinoma over one centimeter. She is currently on Cabergoline and we are hoping and praying for a good outcome. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your journey and I'm so glad you're doing well.
Hi Dave! I am so thankful that you found my videos! My hope and prayer is that they can give you some peace and hope. It can be such an overwhelming journey. Here for you and praying for your wife!
Hey Dave. Cabergoline works really well! Hope your wife is feeling good.
I just found out that I have a tumor at 40. The symptoms have been there for years, but doctors never put it together until now. I really appreciate the doctor that sent me for an MRI. I was questioning myself. Like, I knew something wasn't right, but told I was fine. So it was kinda a relief finding out and knowing I'm not crazy. The not knowing what to expect is scary. I appreciate you sharing your story. Thank you!
This is me!! I’ve had irregular periods for years and could not have children. No doctor ever tested my prolactin in the past. Fast forward, and I now haven’t had a period in 10 months (I’m 41) so my new doctor sent me for blood work. Turns out I have high prolactin which is causing menopause-like symptoms. I’m waiting for an MRI to confirm if I have a pituitary tumour. Such a crazy feeling. I went into the blood work thinking I was just going into menopause really young and need HRT…to find out I might have a tumour in my brain!
I had my surgery April 1st 2024. My worst was what I went through with pulling out the sinus packing. I had headaches, swelling and it took three visits since it got crusty, bloody and more swelling. What kind of packing did they do for you since we do have drainage and the area needs protected? I had to learn and use NeilMed to continually keep it cleaned out and have to do it for the three months even though the 24th, they pulled the rest of it out . They pulled the packing out in increments so-as not to swell it up in there to much so it would not cause scaring or worse yet effect the area of the surgery which could cause blindness and even death. They said to get to emergency immediately if I taste metal or fluid coming out continuously as well as blood. It could be infection or swelling which can somehow cause spinal fluid to leak. That was terrifying. They said I could possibly lose my smelling permanently too which I was not told. I slightly lost taste but my smell is about a third back. I use Tea Tree oil under my nose to make sure no infection starts. As of three weeks in I am barely smelling it. I didn’t take the oxycodone but like you - Tylenol. No nausea thankfully or throat pain. It surely was not easy but being at an University hospital in Cleveland, OH, I can say the young students there kept my mind off of much of it. They were a delight. I had to stay 4 days. (Have an incurable blood clotting issue) Still staying with my family for another day or two because of overall weakness from the recent packing pull. I’m older too, so recoup a little slower but so glad it’s over. Hardest part? The after surgery recoup and although you have to be careful a few restrictions, it’s doable. The surgery was a breeze and they kept me in ICU the whole time. I felt spoiled rotten and their menu rocked. I could eat with no restrictions thankfully. You literally get your life back and back to a balance. I too, am almost there. Congratulations on your own recent recovery. 😊
Going thru this battle thanks for sharing 😢 I see surgeon next week
here for you and praying for you, friend! you're not alone <3
