Best small block second gen in the northwoods wi. Off roading, welding and anything with an engine! DODGE BOYS🤘🏻No pavement princes or squatted trucks here. All American 🇺🇸 and not politically correct deal with it. As for me I’m that guy that drives a 90s truck has an 80s mullet drinks rc cola and wears a cowboy hat with a Jean jacket

I’ve never got porosity ngl… but still I’m learning ❤
Nice truck
Real
I wish I had gotten a snowmobile and an atv years ago... now that I am planning to move the family to Alaska and will need at least one of each, they cost an arm and a leg. Tomorrow they might cost a kidney as well. For project ones missing half the parts. 10 years ago we could have found nice older used ones for 1/4 to 1/3 the prices people want now. 😢 I would even rebuild them if need be, but never been around the people that are tossing out projects... though I do know several people that seem to always be getting handed one to fix up. 😢😢
If maintained well. The mid-90s and early 2000s are fantastic.... but absolutely nothing compared to the 2020s. Anyone who says different hasn't riden one. Completely different world
Older sleds dont weigh 600lbs like the new sleds .my dads 70 artic cat puma was super light and real easy to get unstuck ..
I have a 1999 Polaris xcf 440
True straight pipes
Never shit talk a triple
I think that's more then a big cam! Forged motor with that rpm and wheel speed
Used to have a 1980 yamaha enticer. The track was garbage, and it was falling apart but that thing ran like a champ as long as you gever her a sniff of ether each morning
A "Saturday Night Special" is a cheap throw away gun, usually a small caliber.
What size tires?
37s I believe 11.5 wide
True
What all is done to motor?
Let her SING!!!!!
None ?
had my 2000 thundercat 1000 out last week. a true beast. that triple touring is beautiful
Round ish?
V10 will do a nicer burnout
Here in alaska at arctic man they have a greasy triples class and the rules are vague. That sled would likely win.
I got my 1999 ZRT 600 out just the other day, the rear suspension was just rebuilt she runs great!
I have a zr 700 that doesn’t run and were trying to sell it for parts
1998 mxz babyy
I have worked on both. I prefer a new machine so i dont have to work on it but if i have to fix things gimme the old ones. These new ones are awful to work on
What headers are these? And will they work on 4wd models
Dam Right Bro cool thanks
Older sleds are better there cooler especially mod sleds and triples and Yamaha even made a 4 cylinder 2 stroke really cool I also have a bunch of vintage triples like skidoo blizzard 797 really cool
No..... That is not right.... Too easy.... Woodchipper on low throttle feet first
Ah a man of culture I see
Did the shorties mount up to the factory exhaust mounts or did you have to make new ones? I bought a set and want to know the extent I’m going to have to go to get them on
My thoughts as well my friend. Great minds think alike my man.
Yessir they certainly do
Absolutely man. I've got my 2002 Polaris RMK 700, and a new sled, and I am obsessed still with the RMK. Just something about the pre-2006 era sleds that I love!
How new? I love my 2007 switchback. But I rode a 2020, and there's no comparison, completely different world with the new technologies.
I gotta 2004 Polaris RMK 800 but it has some issues but it still runs good
Looks too patriotic or antisemitic.
Run forest run
alight guy you have until I put this mag in to try and run away 😂
I know this is a 3 year old video but I appreciate you doing all these tests carbureted because now the efi systems on these trucks can be finicky to work on with 30 year old electronics and plastics involved and new replacement costs rivaling an upgrade or carb swap, most folks aren’t going back with OEM efi in my opinion.
Eh, not that old but otherwise true.
@@TUGG75No, not really. Kinda the same shit during the last 30 years.
@@TUGG75 The layout of almost all snowmobiles during the last 20-30 years has been very similar. The fuel tank between your legs, the same operation principles of the suspension, the engine located on the front. Same stuff with some minor differences. Now go back to the snowmobiles of the 60s-80s. You could find all sorts of oddities on those snowmobiles. You don't see douple tracks one ski or the engine located under your ass anymore. Nor do you see the fuel tank on the front. And oh, I don't understand miles, miles per hour and feet.
@@TUGG75 snowmobiles have had basically the same layout during the last 30 years. Two skis, one track, engine on the front, tank between your legs. Of course there are snowmobiles that do not follow this standard now but 40-60 yo snowmobiles are a lot different compared to modern snowmobiles. Also I don't understand the imperial system.
Obviously technology especially in the suspension has gotten better. And i have ridden long bumpy distances with a 90s sit down style snowmobiles. And if you think that the 90s suspension is bad maybe you should try even older snowmobiles with rubber bands or other dumb stuff for suspension. Anyway my point was that the 80s was quite the turning point for snowmobiles. After that the layout hasn't changed basically at all. I mean by this that mid 80s sleds and older are very different in layout, suspension, and weight compares to newer ones. That is why I really wouldn't call 90s snowmobiles that old.
“ Saturday night special” 🗣🔥🔥🔥🎶🔥🎶🗣🔥🗣
Show me a video of anyone sidehilling an old sled. The old engines are decent but there is no comparison in the chassis. Its like saying a ww2 biplane is just as good as a modern fighter jet because they're both fun to fly.
Old sleds are super fun I love them but I like new sleds to for deep snow rising but if it aind powder snow the old 440 is coming out
Guess who went in deep snow with an Yamaha exciter 440 1981 today... ME
I'm new at this car thing, do you have to take the engine out to install it
No you don't, tons of videos on RUclips of manifold installations and if you have niche questions reading dense forum threads is super helpful!!
I have a 97 polaris 500 rmk and love it , fun and very reliable! I don't do powder hill climbing but alot of logging and forest roads sometimes with a foot or two of powder and it does great. I've had new sleds and I'll stick with the nice older ones.
Shhhhhhh... Keep them cheap 😃
I got a 2nd Gen mud truck too! I love my Walker Texas Ranger truck!
Idk if that was a fair race 😂 👏
i have jegs y pipe no cats no muffler.
True
He cooooooooooooked
Old sleds aren’t as dangerous and are fun
