I followed you since I was in matriculation and next month I will be on my 3rd year pursuing biomedical science degree, thank you for the insight , I have a thought on furthering my master right after my degree , but I do receive a negative comments on it from my relatives . I’ve heard after completing BCs, you can do MSc in fields like oncology or hematology since they are quite similar… wanted to ask if that is possible

Biohealth Science graduate here 🙋🏻 As you can see. For the other 7 bio-related courses under Fac of Science UM, during the 1st year, you need to learn all biology related courses not specific to your major. E.g Biology of Organisms, you learn taxonomy, from prion to mammals. Only from 2nd year (3rd sem) you start learning your major subjects. Plant-related subjects were offered because many of our lecturers specialised in medicinal plants. By the way Biohealth & Bioinformatics are no longer offered. Gov scraps them off.

It has been pretty hard to gather information since we did not really have a chance to meet students in the year above, due to the pandemic, so this is was very useful.
