Nice build! Why not install the gps antennas on top of the glare shield, under the windscreen? Keeps the drag down and keeps the wires shorter.

I don't understand why anyone designs for sheet and rivet these days instead of composite. It must be so much easier to just make one piece. And carbon fiber can be plenty stiff in just a thin double curved shell with no stringers or frames. Also hard to beat for weight. But it seems Sling is moving to composites.

Hi guys . Will start following you :) also building a TSI . Take note of that service letter from sling . The centre weights on the elevator can come out , but the weights in the elevator tips have to stay in .

Great progress. Painting the pedal bases black now is a great idea. Keep track of what you can't do due to back ordered items. I did this by putting blue painters tape like a book mark pointing to the page in the kai.

Yep waiting for back ordered parts takes a lot of time. My kits was missing 85 bo parts. Including the dimple die. Luckily I already had a couple that I ordered from aircraft spruce. FYI, it is way faster to just order missing parts from aircraft spruce. You can usually get the part in 2 to 3 days from aircraft spruce.

Looking good! Hold off on those skins, especially in the back, as long as you can. There will be wiring you forgot to run and antennas (antennae?) you need to mount and it is tough to get back there to do it with all the skins on. I am eating with that issue since I got a Quickbuild kit.

When you say everything, does that include seat coverings, wiring, plumbing, and avionics? I know with Van's RV-10 you get only the airframe and that's it. Very intrested in the differences.

Having built a Vans RV6A, I'm really impressed with the wing jigs. Wish Van's had that kind of setup with their kits. Just watched 'Pilot Bambi' having a flight in the TSi with Sling's demo/test pilot, it's such an impressive aircraft!

Thanks for the video. I’m also building at my house. The commute to work on the plane is great, but the space is tight (1 side of a two car garage) and that slows things down a lot. Still, being able to go out and work on the plane for 5 or 10 minutes when time permits and NOT needing to drive 20 minutes to the airport hangar and 20 minutes back makes it worth it.

So your adventure begins! Great video. I can understand that it's difficult to work and record videos together. But I'd like to say that please keep doing it. We love your videos and we would fortunate witness your journey.

If you need more Clecos, you can often get a good deal from eBay from other builders (planes and RVs (the trailers, not just the planes)). Rivnut puller - always set the clutch torque on the drill to less than you think you’ll need. They are a pain to drill out! Ask me how I know…. 😂

Your process to choose the Sling sounds a lot like mine. I’m glad your kit went direct to North America. Mine went via Hamburg (or was it Frankfurt)? I’m in Northern CA, too, and have been working on the QB kit for about a year.😊

As I’ve been breaking down my boxes I’ve kept (cut out) some of the logos and named pieces on the boxes for a little post-build project where I can make some framed pieces for the hangar of the stamped pieces.

I'm looking forward to watching your build. I'm very interested in building a sling myself. It looks like you decided to forgo the build assist options, and I'm curious how you got to that decision. It's an appealing option for me as it saves a lot of money. That said, I've never built an airplane before and I'm not sure I trust myself to do it without assistance. Did that play into your decision?

In the market to purchase in the next year or so....sling tsi too of my list so im glad I found you....definitely following!
